  1. Not really ST related, but I wanted to share a disturbing picture. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/Sb_Jb2XNdhI/AAAAAAAAF6Q/x-zfc7Q4b70/s1600/4047782.JPG They're tearing up the field at the old ballpark. such a shame.
  2. f*** no I don't believe Pujols. He's 38 and took mad steroids for years. And 2001 wasn't his first year in the bigs, he actually debuted in 1996 under a different name for another team, believed to be in the AL West (Probably the A's). He wasn't tendered a contract, started juicing, and eventually signed with the Cardinals. It's the truth I tell ya!
  3. oh s*** had this been done sooner i wouldnt have dropped out of the league. oh well. good luck to everyone.
  4. Although Italy didn't beat Venezuela, I'm thrilled that the Dutch got past the DR not once, but twice! If I were them I would have had a major league blunt session in the clubhouse. s***, who needs bubbly when you can celebrate bluntly. I wonder if all the Dutch territories such as Aruba and Netherland Antilles practice the same Marijuana tolerance as in Holland. Oh well, I didn't mean to digress, just a thought I had.
  5. Yeahh boyy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy Italy won. I didn't get to see it, but I'm thrilled. Hoping they can upset Venezuela and at least advance a round, which won't be easy after losing their first meeting 7-0.
  6. Well I ended up not going, but did anyone notice how EMPTY it was up there tonight? Wow.
  7. btw I'm drunk. I still say f*** A-ROD though. f*** HIM. f*** HIM AND HIS INJURIES, f*** HIM AND HSI STEROIDS, f*** HIM AND HIS DRAMA. WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT HIM IN TEXAS AND NTO BOTHERED OURSELVES WITH HIS s***. TOO BAD THE MANNY TRADE DIDNT WORK OUT FOR YOU GUYS, WE WOULD BE THE ONES LAUGHING AT THIS. f*** HIM!!!!!!!
  8. f*** Alex Rodriguez. f*** HIM. I wish we still had Soriano. He could be playing CF for us right now.
  9. The Phuture will prove you wrong.
  10. Get your laughs in from last year while you can. Phil Hughes is a future cy Young winner. Remember it, quote it, etch it in stone
  11. If he were suspended, which he won't be, it wouldn't be for 50 games anyway. Nice try Huggies.
  12. How do you know he covers more ground and is a better base stealer? You haven't had many opportunities to see him play. Based on the season your boy Ellsbury had last year I wouldn't be talking that smack in his favor. I very much agree with Jacko and Diony's comparison of the two. They are similar players, but Ellsbury has a higher ceiling, and is/CAN BE more useful with the stick.
  13. I don't really think I wanna pay to autodraft. No worries, not a big deal.
  14. He may definitely come off as an ass, that I agree with, but as a coach Bowa is great I believe, especially as a third base coach. Great fiery personality who tries to motivate the young guys. Here is NY he had a great relationship with some of the young guys like Cano and Melky. But I can definitely see why you guys feel that way, s*** I definitely wouldn't want him to be the manager of my team.
  15. Yo I been meaning to IM you I have an order of business in which I'd like to discuss briefly.
  16. Let me know about a date if we decide to change the draft again. I think a weekend would probably be best as yeszir suggested.
  17. So after yesterday's game in Dunedin in which A-Rod homered, the Post is reporting he left the Stadium in an SUV with his cousin Yuri Sucart. There is no word on how accurate the report is, but it's out there. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap;_ylt=AuGS0YDcVkt4MqZhHD2PELI5nYcB?gid=290225114&prov=ap Brett Tomko started and went 2 innings giving up just 1 hit. No runs, walks, strikeouts. Upon his signing he was issued number 53, but prior to yesterday's spring opener he and Melky Cabrera switched numbers. Melky will now be wearing 53 while Tomko wears 28. I know Abreu was close with the young guys like Melky and Cano, but idk if that has anything to do with Cabrera's desire to switch. http://d.yimg.com/a/p/ap/20090225/capt.b2a86faa9a9e4fc4b797020c2e1e88bb.yankees_blue_jays_spring_baseball_flgp108.jpg I think if Tomko can pitch well this spring he has an outside shot of making the team and serving as a good long reliever. That would allow Phil Coke to be more of a lefty matchup guy during the middle innings while Marte focuses mainly on setting up. Hopefully he can continue to pitch well this spring. Igawa also pitched yesterday throwing one inning and giving up just one hit while striking out 1, walking 0. http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/f7/fullj.3d97e71d4de1996bf1f4cf2720df6e54/3d97e71d4de1996bf1f4cf2720df6e54-getty-.jpg Here's former Sox catcher Kevin Cash running out a hit yesterday in the game in which he went 2-3 with a STOLEN BASE. lol http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/9c/fullj.180193c7107cc97cbc4fbebef75c5ae0/180193c7107cc97cbc4fbebef75c5ae0-getty-.jpg The Yankees were of course sporting their new away BP/Spring jerseys with new York across the chest in Gray outlined in white. Sorry for the large pics, I usually try to find better sized pictures, but this was all I could find really. The Yanks get ready to open up their spring home schedule today at GMS Field against the Rays, beginning in about a half hour. Phil Hughes will start, which I am looking forward to seeing. Behind him will be Phil Coke, Brian Bruney, Damaso Marte, Jon Albaladejo, and Mark Melancon. Today's Lineup: Johnny Damon LF Derek Jeter SS Mark Teixeira 1B Alex Rodriguez 3B Robinson Cano 2B Xavier Nady RF Jorge Posada DH Jose Molina C Melky Cabrera CF
  18. Fail Nice try though.
