  1. I'm not bitching about the dimensions, they were all legit shots. I'm just saying...that's the home of the Red Sox. Next extreme after blowing up Fenway would be to tamper with the Sox charter plane and blow that s*** up, and I wasn't gonna go there. I'll stick with blowing up Fenway.
  2. Uhh I'm pretty sure C.C. is in the clubhouse stuffing his face or something.
  3. I actually had a discussion about this the other day with my friend. If players association had allowed A-Rod to restructure his deal and make way for the A-Rod/Manny trade to go through I think we're still talking about the curse of the Bambino. A-Rod isn't clutch. Manny is/was. If you guys had A-Rod instead of Manny I don't think you even win a pennant. Those Red Sox teams without Manny don't win the World Series, no doubt about it in my mind. And that's also part of what made ortiz so good in those postseasons, Manny's presence behind him. If it was A-Rod, and he performed in the clutch as he has as a Yankee then Ortiz is constantly getting pitched around (assuming it was Ortiz batting in frotn of A-Rod and not the other way around). We would still have Soriano, not be on the hook for a gazillion dollars over the next 10 years, and Cano would be playing third (sure as hell wouldn't be Aaron Boone, Mike Lamb, Drew Henson, or Eric Duncan). We wouldn't have to deal with the constant drama and baggage that comes along with A-Rod, and we would be s***ing on you guys when the revelations of his steroid use surfaced. I blame Fehr and Orza for the past 5-6 years. f*** YOU DONALD FEHR AND GENE ORZA! Would have been even better if Miggy went over there, would have been another steroid user we could throw in your faces lol. not to mention your other points; no Lester, probably no Beckett, no Lowell. God damn greedy union.
  4. f*** this s*** man. GOD DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Fenway Park ever blows up don't ask questions, you'll just know.
  5. The bullpen was alright yesterday until Mo gave up the homer and Marte eventually gave up the walkoff. I'm not too worried about them. Especially since Robertson (who is NASTY) was recalled. Also called up was Melancon, who we've all heard good things about. Ransom was placed on the 60 dal DL making room on the 40 man for Berroa, and to make room for Melancon the Yankees released (not DFA'd) Humberto Sanchez.
  6. Also called up Mark Melancon and David Robertson to replace Wang and Bruney. Ransom was placed on the 60 day DL and taken off the 40 man roster to make room for Berroa; and Humberto Sanchez, who was acquired in the Gary Sheffield deal and has since struggled with injuries, including recovering from TJ was released (not DFA'd, straight up released), opening up a spot on the 40 man for Melancon. Melancon won't be with the team until 5:30 this afternoon. better late than never I suppose, we may need him in those late innings.
  7. Burnett is gonna SHUT YOU GUYS DOWN today! ...and Berroa's going deep
  8. f*** CC! it's alright, he'll be gone in 3 years anyway lol
  9. I can't wait to see Demetri Martin play DePodesta
  10. Best of luck to timlin going forward. He was always a pain in the ass in that Red Sox uniform, but he was damn good at his best and not a bad guy to have around. Surprised he didn't catch on anywhere else.
  11. Damn jacko, way to jump the gun with the thread title. It was feared that he MIGHT miss the season. All is good though. As for Miranda, just stop dude. f*** Miranda. The best thing we can do is trade him. He has little to no value to us otherwise. And as for him about to turn 26, keep in mind he's Cuban. That 26 could just as likely be 36
  12. I would go with Hughes if I had to pick one. Tomko has been working in relief towards the end of the games down in Scranton anyway, not starting or long relieving. Idk if he's officially their closer but he's been mainly setting up and finishing games for them. I think he deserves a shot too after f***ing Clagget get sent down.
  13. Anyone know what the damn roster move is gonna be!?
  14. Miranda is garbage. I hope he keeps doing well in the minors so the yankees can trade him and possibly get some value. he's never going to amount to much in the big leagues, he just doesn't have it from what I've seen. But this does suck, I like Nady a lot. It's nice to see Swisher playing the way he is, so we're not really losing much, if anything in terms of production. I'm not sure about defensively, just with my eyes I think Nady might be slightly better, but I dont have their defensive numbers in front of me so I could be wrong, But there's not that much of a difference. Main thing it hurts is our depth which is unfortunate. I haven't seen anything on a roster move with nady going on the DL, but apparently Kevin Russo and Austin Jackson were pulled from Scranton's game tonight. Idk if they would consider bringing up Jackson and just lit him sit the bench, which wouldn't be good for his development, or if they would work him in there with plenty of playing time or just leave him in AAA and play everyday, but Russo could be an upgrade over Ransom at third.
  15. I can't wait
  16. Another terrible incident for the baseball family. Damn, how many more of these do we need? RIP.
  17. Very sad. Found right in the booth in Washington. That's terrible. I remember hearing him give an incredible speech up in Cooperstown back in 2002 when he won the Frick award. He was one of the all-time greats and a class act. RIP.
  18. This is ********. What the f*** man!
  19. So is Joba supposed to follow CC in the rotation from here on out or are they going to juggle him back into his regular spot with maybe a skip here, a bump there, and an off-day around the corner or something?
  20. It's alright, we got this s*** today.
  21. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. my condolences to his family, his friends, everyone in the Angels organization, and the family and friends of the other victims. RIP. f*** the guy that ran...pussy
  22. I bet you leave a Yankee fan. Seriously though, that's sick. Have fun. Idk how likely it is but I want to somehow make it to the metrodome this season before the twins move into Target Field. For some strange reason I wanted so badly to see a game in RFK before the Nats moved out, but I would very much like to see Nationals Park. Camden has been calling my name for years, so maybe I'll get that chance this year. Also new Busch Stadium is a place I'm looking forward to someday visiting (I always wanted to go to the old one but they obviously tore it down...didn't need a new park if you ask me).
  23. Danny Giese was claimed by the A's on waivers today.
