  1. Before he signed with SD, he had an agreement with the Yankees but backed out at the last minute
  2. Yankee players hear that type of s*** from the "Fenway Faithful" all the time.
  3. but Boomer was one of the proudest Yankees ever....this is heartbreaking, I loved Boomer, but realistically like Optimist said, he should have known what was going to happen when he put that jersey on.
  4. August 31st* true, which is another reason it wouldnt make sense.
  5. man you are absolutely crazy if you think he sucks, hes been marvelous this year before he went down...I would take him over Arroyo, Miller, and Wakefield.
  6. cant wait, im pretty excited to go, of coarse I have to try to locate my Boomer shirt (Yankees of coarse)....just hope i can tolerate the ride, I just had surgery today on my lower back, around the tailbone and i am in so much pain its ridiculous, but im determined so ill just take some of the vikadin I was prescribed and have someone else drive Thanks again SFoC
  7. you guys think your idiots too ------- on the ESPN subject, its ridiculous, the network itself doesnt present a bias, its the analysts, a lot of them are bias in favor of the Yankees and a lot of them are bias against the Yankees. They either love the Yankees or hate them...im so tired of hearing this ESPN s***, its irrelevent.
  8. he might
  9. Wang is probably going to work otu of the pen when he comes back, but i agree, he should go back to the rotation.
  10. just because the unreliable New York Post says so doesnt mean its true. And besides, if they are it doesnt mean that they are serious about it, im sure tons of teams have entertained the idea, most teams entertain most FA players. But it just would absolutely make no sense, there is nobody that deserves to be taken off the 40 man roster to make room for this guy
  11. no way we sign Ponson....just doesnt make any sense from a Yankee standpoint.
  12. I must say, the seating format at Fenway is very odd....I dont remember it being this odd last time I was at Fenway in 2000, but then again I dont remember much from that game with the exceptiuon of a bunch of "Save fenway Park" people giving me bumper stiuckers and buttons and stuff and saying "these are the best Yankee fans ever", David Justice's homer over the monster, Alfonso Soriano flying out to left (dont know why, but I can always vividly remember this play), and of coarse Bryce Florie getting hit in the face with a comebacker off the bat of Ryan Thompson
  13. you guys are ridiculous
  14. have u ever been to the Stadium, if not enjoy very much, will be fun especially considering the game.
  15. thanks a lot for everything
  16. I have to disagree, hes been big (physically) all season, it wasnt until July and now late August-early Sept. that hes big (production-wise)
  17. I didnt think it was a bad move at all .....man I really wish I had access to a computer during my vacation this past week, because when I got the alert on my phone that we had signed Bellhorn, this is the place I wanted to be to kind of rub it in, but it seems like the reaction isnt that bad by RS Nation. Oh Well, sorry to be jumping on this so late, i've been away and had to make sure I posted on this subject
  18. guys, this isnt news, in mid-august this was the speculation, there was no doubt in anybodys mind that his Yankee career was over.
  19. we're always good with this stuff, 9/11, tsunami, hurricane, etc..
  20. well ive been away all week, so thanks again SFoC, it was somewhat difficult to talk on the phone as we were breaking up, so let me say thanks again. Not sure where the seats are so im going to look at a Fenway seating chart in a minute. BTW, What games did everyone win for?
  21. they were without a doubt America's team in 2001, but I also consider them America's team in the late 90's because after we started winning the World Championships everyone jumped on the wagon, you started seeing people in Oklahoma, Kansas, California, Oregon, Missouir, Nevada, Utah, etc with Yankee hats and Yankee jerseys. At a lot of the road games since '96 you could be inclined to think that we were the home team with all the Yankee fans...not as much anymore though.
  22. yeah the Angels fans chanted it too ....we've come a long way from being America's team back in the late 90's :/
  23. I wasnt ragging on them, I was just making a point that Stockers reason for it (Yankee fans being in the vicinity) is ********.
  24. You know how many Boston fans are at Yankee Stadium everyday, even when the Sox are not in town?
