Sox fan in Tex

The article just claims that we are experiencing the beginning of the pitching era, and it is a good article, I'm just tired of hearing about steroids.

If you're going to write about baseball, why does it continue to have to be about steroids? http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005_images/plus/si_cover0530.jpg The White Sox are 33-14. If you're going to put baseball on the cover, mention them or something else positive about the game....everyone in sports is tired of hearing about steroids and the effects, don't make it any worse.

So any thoughts on my suggestion?

I try to keep hope high with this team, and when we were down 6-0 and up to bat with 1 out and the bases loaded we really had a chance to make a game out of it. I don't remember the inning, but I assume Blowhorn was up at bat and grounded into the DP. Tonight's game was bad, tomorrow BETTER be better than it was today or people are going to start calling for heads.

Look at all the Yankees. No coincidence.

You just mentioned our whole team in general and made personal shots at the state of Texas. Arroyo is 4-1 with a 3.19 ERA... I compared the numbers, Arroyo has a better W-L record and ERA than any Yankee pitcher. Don't try to make this a "personal battle" because everything I stated in that last post is true. Make a case for any of your pitchers and tell me why they are pitching better than Bronson.

Too bad about 98% of those came with Seattle and Texas. Prior to this year, he's done nothing for your team. And actually, I think if we pitched around him this weekend, I don't think your boys would score a single run.

We're not talking about rookie 2nd basemen for the Yankees. Read the title, again.

The difference between Manny and Ortiz struggling compared to Bellhorn and Millar is that we know Man-Ram/Papi will get back on track, but who knows with Bellhorn & Millar. The main question: Are Kevin Millar and Mark Bellhorn the 1st and 2nd basemen of the future? It's doubtful that they are. Put Youk in, move Hanley up to AAA or the Majors so he can continue to get more experience.

You're right yeszir...I'm just trying to figure out what we need to do. No TRUE Red Sox fan will ever give up on this team.

Actually, "vent the decisions we have made" should probably be the title. Here's the deal... Millar and Bellhorn are hitting .231 and .233 respectively. Pathetic! Youk is hitting .353 with an OBP of .463, and we don't need to put up Hanley's stats. Millar doesn't even deserve to backup Youk at first. Now, damnit, I know that the management has faith in these guys, but when Millar goes into these slumps he's in them for a while (eventually he gets out of it, but do we want to wait until July) and I'll take Hanley over Blowhorn's 51 K's. As far as pitching goes, I'll give Wells two more starts to improve and get back to where he should be... if he doesn't figure something out take him out of the rotation. I believe in Jeremi or whoever else we want to take his spot. The fact is, neither I or any of you want to go through this 3 month .500 crap this year. Plain and simple, it sucks. 11 men were left on tonight I believe along with the 1-6 batters going 1-for-24. Make the right moves, Francona, do what's best for the team.

To get him some work in. He pitched very well, 1.0 IP no hits. Francona's just trying to get Foulke ready because I'm sure he'll come in during 1 or 2 of the games this weekend.

Let them enjoy finally catching FATHER BOSTON while they can. The last time they had bragging rights over us was when they took 2 of 3 from us the second to last series in 2004. (I consider us benefitting more in the first three of the year in 2005, than the Yanks) If Wake is lights out like he should be this weekend and Clement pitches like he has, we'll be fine and our old ways of winning will continue. One key will be not letting A-fraud getting a key hit...let his pathetic defense (7 errors) decide the game and not his bat.

So if you catch DADDY Boston tonight when will you be throwing the parade?

We'll see. It'll be nice FINALLY having some competition from you guys, but I say Sox win tonight.

Two thumbs down for this game. My blame still goes all the way back to the offseason when we picked up Wells. At the time, was there honestly not a better pickup? Take Wells out of the starting rotation and replace him with Jeremi Gonzalez.

All the blame can't go to Timlin, as seen in yeszir's post...he's done his job. It's just frustrating that we continued to blow leads, pitching in general is to blame today.

Damnit, Wells...c'mon! Your team gives you a 3-0 lead and you give it right back.

We give you grief because you still think you're superior to us, when you're not. Sit down, junior and just accept that your team sucks and there's nothing you can do about it except whine until the end of the season and look up at us and the Blue Jays in the standings.
