    Don't know. I just laugh everytime I see Tino do it. I guess now that a majority of their players are off the 'roids, it's tougher for them to hit homeruns, therefore they celebrate everytime a player gets lucky and smashes one. Seriously though, when a guy like Sheffroids is doing it, in a sense it seems like a slap in the face to an opposing team because all you did was hit a HR...I mean he didn't do anything else great the rest of the night. If you want to showboat like that and taunt us when we're down, be our guests, I just hope we never go to that level.

    Sorry if you take any offense to that, but please go post on another thread that involves the Yankees while us Sox fans try to find something good when we've just played about 13 games of crap.

    I don't know where to post this, so I guess it goes here. I've been analyzing some stats while working on my website and I found some pretty HORRIBLE stuff over these last 4 road games: - Average runs given up by a starter: 5.25 - Average men LOB (left on base) these last four games: 15.75 - Number of men LOB these last four games comes out to 63

    Haha, yeah and the ESPN crew broadcasting on Sunday is so much better. It'll be nice having the chance to choose NESN over ESPN when Baltimore comes to town.

    With all the struggles we are having, and every thread being about something we've done wrong, I thought I should start one of these. We all know that the bullpen is dreadful, Manny and Ortiz are in a slump and we still have Millar and Bellhorn on the field so here's a look at some positives that I could find: Renteria is starting to hit again on the road Tomorrow's starter Matt Clement is 5-0 with a 3.34 ERA In Mantei's 20 appearances this year, he's given up 16 hits on just 4 runs V-tek, Damon and Nixon are all hitting over .300 (.329/.340.310) We have a very good future looking at our minor league system In 14 starts, Myers have given up only 2 runs (both in G2 at OAK) Arroyo's 3.19 ERA is astounding We're not Yankees fans... we WON'T quit on this team If anyone has any more to add that I missed, please do so.

    This is horrible...I had to look back to see when the last game we won was (Atlanta on the 22nd). Could we really go 0-6 on this road trip?

    I feel your pain RedSoxRooter, stuck with YES as well. The bastards show no emotion, so on that 2 run homer by V-tek I couldn't tell whether it was going to be a regular flyout or what. Red Sox- 2 vs. Yankees- 0. C'mon Sox, stop leaving men on....Wake, continue to do your job.

    To add in the fact that the next 7 are against divisional rivals that are hot right now, we have to play the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, and play the Orioles at home where we've struggled against them.

    To me as well, this could be considered a rather weird series. In my opinion, what's on the players minds is: "We have nothing to lose." Though, that may not be true...it is to an extent. We just got swept by the Blue Jays and I think a lot of people are starting to panic, but the players will step it up huge. I won't be surprised if we win 2 of 3 and even come close to a sweep.

    Just a question, YANKEESRULE: Why a Yankees win on Friday? I'm not downgrading your prediction, but if Wake is on target it could be a long night for you guys. As said, we've proven that we can hit off Randy, let's just hope the Sox can do it today.

    What the hell are we doing Sunday? Why is Wells pitching? Does no one remember the opening game of the season, or every start he has pitched in? Honestly...we should have arranged someone else to pitch the finale. If we split the first two, we could be in deep crap with Wells out there in game three.
