  1. Just saw it for the first time tonight since I wasn't able to last night. I admit, it was pretty funny. I can't really see why EEI has been making such a huge deal out of some of the things. Some of the humor was I guess you could say not for kids, but that's why it's on BRAVO at 10.
  2. I'm wondering whether it's still going to be on ESPN2 or I'm going to have to watch on the Cardinals network.
  3. I wish your location said New York instead of Maine, because then being a dumbass on your part would make sense. Being able to spell 'Wakefield' isn't that hard. It's not grammar, it's more like loving the team. You can skip through high school and still be able to spell names of our players, I smell bandwagon fan. I mean, you've had 10 years to learn to spell it... BAN HIM!
  4. No, you just can't read.
  5. Here's my problem with Bellhorn: Everyone else on the team has proven that when they are in slumps, they can get out. This isn't a slump for Bellhorn... he's going to play like this as long as he is in Boston. With the demand of the town of Boston, I don't see Bellhorn sticking around... we have too good of management (& money) to keep him around. Don't get me wrong, soxie, I can see why you are standing up for him... I'm one of the biggest Nomar fans you'll find and he takes tons of criticism. I realized that we were better off without Nomar and I think you should see the same with Bellhorn. "The 'K' in Bellhorn is silent, but definitely shows..." -the Globe
  6. BOOOOOOOO! Delete post, ban user! Now, back to topic: YANKEES SUCK!
  7. Hey Soxfan#1, you know what you also notice? Your pathetic M's are playing like crap, while those MIGHTY Minnesota Twins are fighting for another shot at the playoffs. I should already start thinking of ideas for you to put in your sig.
  8. When I see Wakefield pitch, I still see the heart of our franchise. The guy has been with us since 1995 and despite some consecutive bad starts, I think he gets back on track and all of this talk ends. He'll have a spot with us next year.
  9. Great stuff, and welcome to the board. This picture makes you realize why this guy is going to and should be a Sox player instead of a Yankee: http://i.pbase.com/v3/76/559976/4/44496701.43740844.jpg
  10. Could we not have kept following the Billy Bean point of view (OBP)? We should have taken more college kids rather than some of these right out of high school.
  11. Yeah, I realize that he's a good player, but this bullsh-t of, "his walks make up for all of his strikeouts" is crap. His 'two-out no men on walks' certainly don't beat his 'bases loaded, two outs strikeouts'. I just think there has to be an alternative for 2nd base.
  12. Rockets in '05-'06. But for now: Go Pistons. Half my family is from Michigan and are Pistons fans, so even though San Antone is right down the road, I still have to go with Detroit.
  13. I call B.S. on all of you voting for Olerud (and no, it's not because I support Mr. 'Cowboy Up'). It's because Tito's made it clear that Millar atleast for this year, is our guy... next year is DEFINITELY a different story.
  14. Thanks, Blowhorn. I just get home in time to catch the 9th inning after being on planes all day and you end the day off like crap.
  15. Just look at the YES boards... 90% of the page is made up of the sig, we should be able to put them in there, but have a limit of size. Oh yeah, P.S. How about no sigs featuring Mark Bellhorn are aloud?
  16. It's not that we don't like him... we're just not satisfied with the way he's playing.
  17. I'm in. There is a way you can just shut it down for a few hours, right yeszir?
  18. Well, it's been a great 7 years of following the Red Sox and now I've finally gotten the opportunity to see a game at the Fens. In my opinion you can love the Red Sox and spend a couple hours listening to WEEI online while reading about the Red Sox on the globe's website or chatting on a Red Sox fan forum, and pay $200 like I have to watch the Sox, but until now I have tried not to refer to myself as a die-hard Sox fan because I had not yet been to this beautiful ballpark. Now my quest comes to an end. Hopefully I'll get to see a great game on Friday with Wells on the mound and maybe we can come away with a win. I'll be in Boston for 5 days and am staying at the Colonnade. Just wanted to post one last time before I get back on Thursday. GO SOX!
  19. The worst right side of the infield in the majors. Period.
  20. A Dodgers fan, eh? Good. As long as well all hate Barry Bonds.
  21. Blah, we leave too many men on again. I'll be on a plane during tomorrow's game, so it's up to you guys to get us a win.
  22. I'm not so sure on this whole writing teams off thing. Why are we so sure that the White Sox or the Orioles can't hold their lead? Those pesky O's do a pretty damn good job at keeping us and the Yankees down in the standings and the White Sox have the best record in baseball. Hell, include the AL West and teams like Texas or Anaheim could potentially give us trouble. There are too many good teams right now to say that for sure we'll get into the playoffs. Plus I think too many things would have to happen for it again to be the Yankees and Sox.
  23. LOL, now it all makes sense. Why did it shut down?
  24. That's a relief... hopefully Damon is alright. I heard his comments after the game and he said he was planning on going up to bat after that coming in from the field and everything, before Francona told him that Olerud (Cowboy down, Olerud up!) would take his place.
  25. Haha, yeah... and even when V-tek catches Wake, it's usually not pretty (World Series last year as an example). I'd be about 97% sure that you'll see Varitek behind the plate tonight, Master Shake. Unless something comes up, he'll be there. Hope you get to see a great game.
