that article has its good points and so many bad points it's not even funny.
first off, ANYONE that reads the boston globe as a source of information about a game or the red sox in general is an idiot. those writers don't know anything. those guys hate pedro. ANY TRUE red sox fan that has been watching the sox for more than 2-3 years would know that pedro hasn't always been like this. he was the man back then, he was above all else. like i said, i would have rolled a red carpet for him when he was introduced at fenway.
as for leaving for money. i'm glad he left, the sox couldn't afford that. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY should he STAY for LESS money? the red sox paid him 92 million in 7 years because he was supposed to be an awsome pitcher. guess what. he was more than that. he was the greatest pitcher to ever touch a baseball. simple as that. he MORE than earned those dollars. you could look and say that it is US who is jipping him.
either way him leaving is for the better. he gets a boatload more money, 18.5 million dollars. i don't care if he's playing for the yankees (although it'll bite me everytime i see him in pinstripes) but for 18.5 million dollars you and i would both leave. it's not about how much money he has, it's about how much money was offered him.
i'm sure he's a big friggan spender, i'm sure he wants to live like that forever after he retires, 18.5 million sure friggan helps.
pedro was the most rediculous person every dubbed by boston columnist. that's because he gave them no respect and they hated him. f***, who doesn't hate the media. if he bowed down to them and gave them their stupid interviews here and there none of this would have happened. you fell for it.
don't you guys realize how much the boston media sucks, how much the media sucks in general?
please, if you want to bash on pedro make another thread, we are trying to remember the greatest pitcher who ever lived. don't ruin our thing.
