considering kim was very good and owned many teams i would keep him even if the yankees "owned" him. i believe he'll get back to where he was and then some and he won't be "owned" by the yankees anymore, but that's just how i feel. john

both of you are stupid, it was an obvious typo, seeing that i typed the word correctly in the same sentence. a post from steve80 from baseball.com forums. He didn't flip off Fenway, he flipped off the morons that were booing him for Embree's blown save in the ALDS. It wasn't the right thing to do, but I honestly don't blame him. He helps pitch the team into the playoffs and becomes the team's biggest scapegoat. Without him, simply put, the Red Sox don't make the playoffs last season. i think that does kim justice. he was definately a scapegoat. it's too bad. john

you can have pavano and beltran. i don't see why the yankees really need beltran. their offence is perfectly capable. i mean seriously, jeter, a-rod, sheffield, giambi (when healthy of course) and matsui and that's not enough? i guess i'll never understand the way you yankee fans think. i'm perfectly happy with damon, manny, ortiz and nixon. as for pavano, take him. i'de much much rather have a rotation of pedro, schilling, clement, arroyo and kim (if he can get himself back together). john

i would MUCH MUCH rather face minnesota than oakland, are you kidding me? mulder, hudson, zito, harden. my god that is scary. i don't care how bad of a year zito is having, i'm sure he's capable of holding his own in the ALDS. minnesota has santana and radke, their starting rotation after that is questionable. radke if not on his game will get ruined by the sox. i also feel that the twins lineup is not as strong as the a's lineup. john

beltran, clement, morris, pavano, beltra and clemens, the yankees should seriously sign them all. i would love to see that. john

i firmyl believe that kim is going to be one of the better pitchers in a sox uniform in the years to come, remember, he's only what? 24, 25 tops. you don't go from throwing 98+ at 24 to not being able to top 88 ever again, 10 miles is just TOO much to lose so fast. he came over from a foreign country, has no friends, no family here, it takes a while to adjust, then injuries etc. you need to realize that in his culture fans don't really boo their players, he reacted due to poor decisions. hell, if fans boo'ed me i give them the finger too. that in no way means that he has a bad attitude, how many of you people actually know him? as for cluth reliever, i hate the word clutch, people are out there to do their jobs. it's their job to get things done. why is someone clutch when they do their job? firemen must be wicked "clutch".. watch and see, kim is going to be nasty. john

some fans are absolutely atrocious, don't hate the player, hate the game. if you bad mouthed anybody on the streets you would get ruined. the same should go during baseball games. john

i don't understand how sheffield is a hero. he plays baseballe, a sport for a living. he's not a hero, he's just a baseball player. throughout his career sheffield has been a complete *******. nothing more needs to be said about his character. if he has matured like empire says, well (as stated earlier) 35 (or however hold he is) is pretty damn late to mature. as a baseball player it's his JOB to hit homeruns, to hit the ball well when runners are in scoring position. not everyone is good at it but not everyone is bad at it either. remember, it's his JOB. why is he so praised for doing what they pay him, what 13 mill a year?, to do? no sports players are heros. john

i'm sorry ortiz but you are totally wrong. remember what happened the last time the red sox said clemens was too old? remember what happened the last time the red sox said clemens would blow out his arm? what did he do? just pitch TWO 20 win seasons (i believe, too lazy to look up) for toronto before being traded to the yanks where he goes to win a world series, get his 300th win, pitch another 20 win season and get 4K strikeouts for his career. clemens might be old but he sure doesn't look like he's slowing down. he's a pretty big guy and seems to know how to take care of his body. i bet he has 2-3 more good years left. either way, if he comes to the sox and wins the series here he'll definately retire for good. who needs to play baseball after helping the sox win the series? i'de do nothing for the rest of my life. john

everyone shouldn't get too cocky. just today we allowed 4 runs in the 9th inning. :-/ i was really hoping schilling would complete the game too, everyone was cheering for him, he totally breezed through the first 8. even with foulke we still gave up 2 more runs. it was a damn close game and i'm glad we won. john
