    Keeping Myers in this game either means Tito has already given up and is saving guys for the weekend, or he's lost his mind because Myers is strictly a situation lefty.

    The more I think about this Hansen thing the more I look back at '86 when Calvin Schiraldi was rushed up after being drafted out of Texas. He pitched great until the playoffs when the weight of the pressure crushed him and his career.

    Desperate move. Let's see what he's got at the risk of destroying what little confidence he may have. Mueller for Romero could have avoided this.

    If anyone doubts how desperate the bullpen situation is, now this kid may jump up to Boston from Portland in only his first year in pro ball.     A good place to stay is Marriott Courtyard in Brookline. It's away from downtown (and the higher prices), but there is a T stop right in front of the place and it's about 4 or 5 stops to Kenmore. Bring a credit card for when you walk in the Twins souvenir store on Yawkey Way. Take a Fenway tour one morning, I think they start at 9 and tickets are sold in the souvenir store, it's worth it. Take a Duck Boat tour to see the city, they leave from the Prudential Center. Get a win.

    I still believe Papelbon helps this team better in the bullpen. He has good stuff, but he's still trying to work on a splitter, and he seems to walk hitters after a few innings. His hard stuff is more suited right now for one or two innings. And the pen is just a car wreck.

    That is a wonderful offer. I have to say I don't think it matters what day of the week a Sox fan can get to Fenway. Detroit, Tampa and Balt. wrap up the homestand before Labor Day.

    How Remlinger can stay and Delcarmen goes with this bullpen situation is beyond reason. The pitching is getting desperate and I can't make sense of these moves.
