    It makes sense if they're not done with Gonzalez. SD can get their relatively young, cheap 1B for the rest of the year along with any other haul they've been discussing. Waiver deals make sense too.

    And Theo isn't stupid, which is what makes me think he is NOT done trading. 4pm will go by, but we still have to allow probably about another hour to hear the final details of any other pending trades.

    I think this is the first of a lot to come. I think Arroyo only did it because he had no choice, not because he's really interested in coming as clean as possible. This could have come earlier, not a day after the nice guy of baseball gets nailed.

    Ah, Tom Gorzelanny. He had some nice years then seemed to fall off the face of the planet. EDIT: '06 wasn't a full year, but he wasn't bad. '07 he was pretty good. Then he disappeared.
