    They're not gonna win this is just going to be a depressing weekend all around. I even knew before the Bruins game yesterday that there was no way in hell they were going to win just based on the Red Sox game.

    If you think that's a hook by Fitzgerald then you need to think again. Even Strength would become defunct if you called every penalty like that. But what I really want to address is what Irish Jay said. Where do you come up with the idea that throwing stuff on the ice is ok. If you want to protest a call then just boo, what exactly does throwing things accomplish.

    Disappointing very disappointing. It was fun to watch but I really wouldn't call it a great year. We really knew all along this team was not built to win in the postseason.

    What I don't get is why you guys are complaining when all you had to was win your game and you guys got routed by the Sox. IF you actually win the game none of this happens. Stop being whiners. IF you had won you would have had a case but you didn't.

    My thoughts: The 5 members of our current starting rotation (Schilling, Wells, Clement, Wakefield, Arroyo(going to the pen)) Bullpen (locks) Timlin Papelbon Myers Bradford I think Dinardo makes it for 2 reasons. He's a lefty and a long man, 2 valuable things in the playoffs. That leaves the last spot down to 2 guys in my opinion Hansen and Gonzalez. My gut feeling says Hansen makes it because the Sox will be kicking themselves if they have a guy with that kind of stuff sitting on the bench.

    You're crazy. Anyway I just don't think it would be the same without beating the Yanks. Sure, I'd be ecstatic if we won the World Series, but that Yankee series was much more exciting than the World Series. Seeing that once a year wouldn't be too bad. Besides it's too tough to form a rivalry with the Angels when: A. Their fans are on the other coast, not too much interaction with them B. We only play them 8 or 9 games a year C. They get their asses handed to them like last year.

    TV. They don't want to have all the games going on at the same time. Yankee fans are complaining that Game 2 of their series is at 10:00, well now they know how we felt the last 2 years.

    I think we need 11 pitchers. Remember the difference in the starting staff of this year and last year.
