  1. edgar is the man, orlando who? welkls stepped up last night, man that first inning had me worried but he really did the job. It was a relief to have joe morgan and jon miller doing the game last night and not that f***ing idiot tim mcCarver. I hope we stay hot against the O's... the 17-1 game was special but alst night was a really a great game. I dont want to be negative after taking two in the bronx, but let's admit it millar really is fat s*** and shouldnt be playing. Maybe he and alan should go entartin the troops in Iraq for a few months part of a good will program. In the green zone, I hear that's really safe.
  2. go bronson. I think the yankee series and particularly the the 17-1 game will be a turning point. There is only one thing I think that need to be tweaked in the line-up--sit down millar and play olerud full time. Fat ass sucks, but today I am so thrilled even that doesnt bother me so much. If I not mistaken I dont believe bellhorn even struck once last night--there is a God after all
  3. clement is the man. as I said! every thing (except that ********** alan embree) is looking good today, that was a good ole fashioned ass whooping.
  4. nothing,. just what the doctor ordered, even bellhorn contributed today.
  5. oh and dale sveum hopefully will get sick and have ot be replaced. That would be a positive.
  6. here's a positive--embree is not starting today. It;s sunny out, and the score today is still tied.
  7. I take everything back everything nice I ever said about embree. you knuckle heads can say whatever you wont and throw around any of your stats. they guy is worthless and sucks. Franocna misuses him, granted, but he f***ing sucks.. Talk about lack of desperation, the complacency can be found on the field and in the stands--you and your free passes, and non-booing. Saying that to boo and to point out bad play is being like a spoiled yankee fan. I cant believe that. I like winning and like the sox to play well. Come on poeple we got to get this moving. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Let's play champs and stop this skid. TODAY...
  8. no one gets a free pass.
  9. isnt it the manager who decides to leave someone in? the guy comes up a rightie? al on the hill....wouldnt it have made sense to bring mantei??? seems like a no brainer to me.. I cant understand this room. I insult embree and the whole world attacks...after last night you guys turn on him... f***..mueller gets hot and then hit in the foot, hope he isnt badly injured? dont mess with alan he is my favorite pitcher.
  10. No offense but that isnt setting the bar very high..i would prefer a hit now and again. Your boy had five hits all week, and 8 K's... what is this romper room, he gets paid a ton of money and it costs a ton of money to go the games... I say produce and do it fast...this is millions of dollars on the line and every game is important.. Get your s*** together edgar and do your own talking and millar has enough problems with ihs own numbers!!!!! as for bellhorn, we'll out of defference to you soxie, he' s okay. .
  11. did someone actually say in 4 years we wont regret signing him???? so given this new PC way we are supposed to be as fans we should wait until his contract is up to see if he works out. I am not condoning nor would I wont become a spoiled yankee fan but isnt there some accountability for any player--now we have a series win, we have to applaud weak play and turn our eyes away from problems... Thank God theo hasnt been de-balled like that, I would really like to see us keep winning-- and if I am not mistaken you need guys to perform to do that. Listen there were guys in here who were totally and admantly against signing Tek for that much money, and I am glad we did, there were guys in here opposed to sigining renteria and i wasnt one of them, I was wrong so far. Thats what makes all this fun that's why they keep stats--lets not get complacent and ridiculously PC- There has to be balance between becoming like yankee fans and sounding like devil rays fans... I still want to win.
  12. millar ought to shut his big fat mouth, Mr. 2 homers should be getting booed himself. Renteria is a big boy and he should defend himself. Millar is lousy first baseman who should only be playing if he can hit homers which isnt happening..youk at first ..youk at first.
  13. it was just a friggin joke, and was more of a compliment to clement You guys should lighten up...
  14. I was just thinking about what you said and that is a ridiculous way to look at things in my opinion.. Using that logic (sic) are we supposed to stick with guys (and I am not talking about schilling) becasue they helped us win last year. PLus, to say clcement doesn t have awinning record in his career, um, who cares--he is winning now. I dont get some of the things you say-I really dont.
  15. okay.okay... Of course, I havent forgotten last yuear, but to live in the past is moronic, which isnt surprisng coming out of Tex. Schilling is schilling, but I think clement and miller have proven just how brilliant theo is and whether clement has a winning record over his career is again a stupid thing to say, he is doing wonders for us, particularly with fat ass and schilling down and what happens this season is all that matters right now.
  16. Billy all the way. love to see them send millar packing.
  17. I have to go with zenny's comments- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  18. nice win today--everybody got a hit--oops, not everyone...renteria was hitless. I hope he does turn it around, all I have heard is how he stinks at the plate becasue this is the american league and he only knows national league pitching, seems to me he got like one hit against the braves, what do we say now--along with the now usual let's be patient. clement is the man, curt who? Mueller starting to come alive, manny nice job today, the line-up is much improved with millar out of it...youk at first, youk at first..if i keep saying it maybe it will keep happening doesnt fat as pitch tuesday?
  19. true, but if I were being negative I would say that that makes it even more disturbing in terms of the long haul ---the fact that he has some important numbers that are among the worst of the worst. I almost passed out duiring the ninth inning last night....a three run lead, into the ninth..our closer coming in..should be an automatic..not automatically a nightmare. I cant bring myself to read his comments..i thought last time he was going through a bad patch it was from not being out there enough.what is it now..let me guess too much work? But I am not negative..he'll work through it, he needs time, it's location (could it be that he cant seem throw it over 85 mph anywhere else but right over the plate) , oops...I mean let's be patient with him.
  20. I agree with sizzlin22 and in an unprecedented moment with Tex, billy is just the consumate professional. Clutch hits, steady in the field...I have never said a critical word about him and never will. Nice job by him last night and hopefuilly he'll stay hot... I like the youk at first concept, millar just cant get it going anemic average, and hands of stone. We need youk in there but not at bill's expense, but millar that's a fat ass of another matter.
  21. I am always impressed at how forgiving and patient you guys are...I am trying this season to be like that, I have admitted alan "embree isnt as bad I wanted to believe, and I am biting my lip not to turn on foulke, but if I did, I would mention how bad he has looked at times, his ERA sucks, he has given up more home runs than nearly any closer in the MAJOR LEAGUES..he has one of the highest batting averages against of any closer in the ML..I mean what is going to take, the guy almost foulked up millers brilliant perfomance last night, you cant hit a ball any further at fenway without it being a home run than that rocket off him last night. inches form blowing the game and another close call. Could it be that location he is looking for is more like re-location.
  22. my jury is deadlocked...i sent them back to try again. he seems to have a good game, and then a few bad ones...7 LOB last night for example. He isnt doing anything for me, to this point and not surpisingly I am growing tired of the good old givre him time mentality. For that money---he should be delivering the goods...at much more inspiring clip... however, I think someone said OC aint doing so hot either--.230 ish?
  23. apparently gammons was ripping manny a new one on weei, manny will turn it up... gammons is a f*** head and a blow heart---I know you guys love him, but he has his f***ing nerve busting on manny, dumb ass gerbal.. I agree with sizzlin22, if we can cut slack for renteria and bellhorn, why cant we be patient with manny.... Look at me I am the picture of patience and just glowing with postiive vibes. If I can do it anyone can...go get 'em manny!
  24. Since I am percieved as negative, I wanted to point out that there is a lot of room for improvement from foulke in spite of the fact that "May has been quite good to Foulke". He happens to have the highest ERA of any closer inteh American league as well as the highest Batting average against. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/closers So in the spirit of being positive I say there is room for improvement, that sounds more positive I think...than what I am thinking.
  25. I have to admit I was wrong about al, and have witnessed some nice performances lately and want to publicly apologize for berating him in here. I was wrong. No what about cla?
