  1. needless to say the only people who have this obssesion with hanely are people who post here. Back here on a little place I call earth--the redsowill not go to this kid this season or even proibably next season. Nothing in the way this management has handled things would inidcate that you'll see hanely in fenway except selling hot dogs.Sketchy isnt the word for it--highly unlikely. Fortunately theo has a lot more baseball knowledge and patience than the average delusional child. this kid aint going to be in centerfield aor at ss at 2B for the boston redsox any time soon. bottom line we need a major league caliber experienced second baseman--as I have said before bellhorn breaks up more rallies than the montgomery alabama police department. He really just is a mediocre at best 2nd baseman and really and is just basically a bum. something will happen or not, but it isnt going to be with hanely...at least that's what history would say.
  2. this would be a mitzvah.??
  3. he plays like lamar.
  4. els likes lester...that's good enough for me.
  5. sadly his fastball comes in at 94-5mph and goes out at 100mph.. I have been convinced about a couple of these prospects, but they are years away from being in the bigs, and last night proved again that in the pinch our bullpen is a disaster. embree sucks the high hard one, timlin is good but man, he clears the bases when he comes in, schilling is not and ill never be the closer. we all know there is some blind insane loyality in the management of this team, and reality says that smellhorn and fat ass millar will be here for the rest of the year whether some us like it or not. that probably goes for embree though he is just so bad, we should cut him.theo makes his moves, intelligently and not based on emotiion like I would. we've seen the todd jones, leskanic, myers pickups in the past and would think we will see that kind of thing soon.
  6. even my mom? you havent seen her pitch?
  7. my mom is a lefty and she has a better breaking pitch than embree.
  8. it wont be much of destiny if we lose now, waiting for the propsects to mature. of course, there is a balance...and we arent the yankees. but we need to solve some issues at the present time to continue to win now.
  9. anyone would better than that greasy f***ing haired stiff bellhorn, unbelievable (and long over due) that tito actually pinch hit for him last night. It's hard to belive the menatlity that anyone can balme his perfomrance on the fans for booing him, I think it goes the other way around...he sucks so they boo... we cannot have a sure out in the lineup it kills too many rallies. bellhorn has to go. soriano would be fantastic, anyone would be better..cora included, bellhorn is a f***ing stiff.
  10. leiter, another washed up starter closing? how about we deal for a real closer, put schilling back in as a starter where he f***ing belongs, get rid of stiffs like bellhorn and millar and embree and make a real run at this thing.
  11. speaking of pitchers embree must have some photos of tito wearing woman's clothes or sleeping with sheep because there is no other explanation for the fact that they keep using this incrediblably s***** pitcher. It defies any logic, to keep using a guy who pitches incredibly s***** nearly every time you use him.
  12. based on how we played last night they could pitch irene ryan against us and win.
  13. from what I have seen on here i think he meant to say his gf was in a fraternity, as well
  14. he isnt negative, anyway.. he is being objective and realistic which more than I can say for most fans.
  15. that was definitely one of the most sexest things I have heard in a long time..just maybe its because on the ******* scale she realizes that a-scum just happens to not be as big as dick head as gary. In terms of boston34 I looked it up and he's telling the truth. see.. Current Portland Team Roster Player Name Number Position DL View Boston34 00 Moron Hanley Ramirez 2 SS Brandon Moss 3 OF Kenny Perez 6 INF Brett LeVier 7 INF Randy Beam 10 LHP Alberto Concepcion 11 C Kason Gabbard 13 LHP David Murphy 18 OF Anibal Sanchez 19 RHP Jeremy West 20 1B Sheldon Fulse 21 Outfield Chris Durbin 22 OF Raul Nieves 23 INF Stefan Bailie 24 1B Charlie Zink 25 RHP Chris Smith 26 RHP Jared Sandberg 28 3B Conor Brooks 29 RHP David Pauley 30 RHP Jon Lester 31 LHP Jason Pearson 32 LHP Jim Buckley 33 C Peter Fisher 35 RHP Justin Sturge 37 LHP Denney Tomori 38 RHP Marc Deschenes 39 RHP James Mann 44 RHP Brett Rudrude RHP
  16. gary must have been on them for awhile because he is been sword swallowing cocksucking mother f***ing ass licking fudge packing egomanical f*** face since he came up inthe bigs.
  17. the waivers end july 15th..so if he clears he will be free to sign with anyone.. I hope he comes back, you can never ever underestimate the value of the mccarty's, kaplers and dougie's of the world..
  18. he is by far one of bigger scumbags in the game today...he makes barry bonds look like willy wonka. I dont know what means but it sounded good. Between a-f*** and sheff it is as easy as ever to hate the yankees..it's no wonder sheff has played on so many teams, the players can only take that act for so long. He is embarrassment to the team and to baseball. high and tight..unfortunately that is where he is least vulnerable.
  19. soxie you're blinded by love. bellhorn makes pathetic plays at least twice a game. he looks like ray charles at the plate, FDR in the field and he runs like bill buckner. okay so he isnt the redsox biggest problem, but he is a problem. we need a new first baseman, a closer and bullpen, but we also need to get some production out our of the second baseman and bellsie aint it.
  20. i still think we need an upgrade at second, cora is a step up from that stiff smellhorn, but we should still better. I dont care about OBP or the walks..100+ strikeouts is disgraceful for a little putz like that. he has very little range, too. I think mark is fininshed in boston, thank God.
  21. some good points???maybe on the top of his head but nowehere around here. yeszir I would limit the drinking til after 5:00pm...although I appreciate you being nice to a sox (demented as he maybe) fan as opposed to a yankee fan or spammer...but some good points-that's about as far fetched as kevin millar thinking anyone would be interested in his fat ass, big yapper and four homers.
  22. I hope you have medical insurance because I think long term psychiatric care might be in your future and based on this post it is going to be costly . Not to mention you put this bizarre thread in the individual game section. Then only thing that is cursed around here appears to be your family.
  23. I agree completely...this is becoming much more complicated than necessary. Give timlin the job and that's that. schilling should just be the starter that he is..it's a little late in his career to change if you ask me. it's far easier to have timlin change roles than it is for schilling. in the meantime, I have two words for the that fat ass mr. 4 homers...kevin millar... bye-bye.
  24. from the globe: Busy Sox designate Payton, trade Vazquez Team reportedly designates backup outfielder for assignment By Boston.com Staff *|* July 7, 2005 The Red Sox have had a busy day, reportedly designating outfielder Jay Payton for assignment, calling up Adam Stern to take his place, and exchanging utility infielders with the Guardians. The Payton move, which was first reported by the Hartford Courant, means the Red Sox have 10 days to trade or release him. According to Boston sports radio station WEEI 850 AM, Stern was recalled from Pawtucket to take his place. The Red Sox also today dealt recently demoted Ramon Vazquez to the Guardians for Alex Cora, who was hitting .205 in 49 games this season. The team announced the deal, but hasn’t commented on the Payton or Stern moves. The Sox will almost surely try to trade Payton as he has been vocal about his desire to be a starter. He has played in 54 of the team’s 83 games, hitting .263 with five homers and 21 RBIs. "I was here half a season," Payton told the Courant, "and did the best I could without trying to create a scene about wanting to be somewhere else and getting the opportunity to play more." According to the Courant, Payton took a flight to Boston from Texas while the rest of the team boarded a plane to Baltimore. The Red Sox begin a four-game series with the Orioles tonight. Stern, who was acquired by the Red Sox in the Rule 5 draft, was hitting .303 in 18 games with the PawSox. Because Stern was a Rule 5 pickup, the Sox would have had to eventually make a decision to either promote him or return him to the Atlanta Braves. Stern injured his thumb earlier in the year, and later hurt his hamstring while rehabbing from the thumb injury. The Red Sox acquired Payton from the Padres in the offseason in a deal that sent Dave Roberts to San Diego. The Red Sox will likely try to deal Payton to another team in exchange for relief help. The 29-year-old Cora, an eight-year veteran, is expected to join the team in time for tonight’s game in Baltimore. He is a career .243 hitter. Vazquez was acquired from the Padres in the same deal that sent Payton to Boston. He batted .197 with a pair of doubles, four RBI and six runs scored in 27 games for the Red Sox this season before being optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday.
  25. i just read in the projo that schilling is going to be the closer?? what do you all think about that?? Schilling on deck to replace Foulke as closer 01:53 PM EDT on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 By ART MARTONE Journal Sports Editor The Red Sox have found a replacement for closer Keith Foulke. His name is Curt Schilling, the team's ace right-hander. During his weekly appearance on the WEEI radio show “Dale and Holley,” this afternoon, Sox manager Terry Francona said Schilling will take the first step toward replacing Foulke by pitching out of the bullpen tomorrow in Pawtucket. Schilling was one of the team's heroes last year, winning 21 games as a starter and helping to lead the Red Sox to the team's first World Series Championship in 86 years.
