  1. Pelfrey's got three major league pitches, but he isn't ready. He should be called up in September.
  2. Good. Schilling gets three days off.
  3. This would be a great back of the t-shirt.
  4. Seanez will probably pitch the 7th.
  5. We can trade him for Cy Young? :dunno: He's dead, but established!
  6. I wasn't going tommorow, until I just read your last three words. So, I'll be at the first three games.
  7. Cox will sign. He's a senior, so he can't return to Rice. I'd like to see him throw strikes on a more consistent basis.
  8. Rate your top ten prospects for the Red Sox, in your opinion. Excluding those in the majors, of course. 1. Micheal Bowden SP, Greenville 2. Jacoby Ellsbury CF, Wilmington 3. Dustin Pedroia 2B, Pawtucket 4. Clay Buchholtz SP, Greenville 5. David Murphy OF, Pawtucket 6. Edgar Martinez RP, Portland 7. Jed Lowrie IF, Wilmington 8. Jason Place OF, GCL Red Sox 9. Daniel Bard SP, unsigned 10. Luis Soto OF, Greenville
  9. I direct this question to ORS, but does anyone know how to calculate BABIP for a pitcher?
  10. The Braves have an option $8 million option on Smoltz. That's pretty fair for the Braves. BUT, I would move Craig Hansen for John Smoltz. I don't know if the Braves would.
  11. I disagree. The Tigers have been obssessed with trying to contend. That's why they overpaid for Rodriguez, signed Rogers, signed Todd Jones, and threw a $15 million per toward Ordonez. The Tigers probably would part with a Humberto Sanchez in order to get Smoltz. Also, Smoltz would put both the Red Sox and Tigers over the top.
  12. If Smoltz is dealt, the Red Sox won't be the favorites. The upper-level of their farm system is now depleted with those prospects being in Boston. There's no way the Red Sox would trade Jon Lester, and Craig Hansen will be an impact reliever for the Red Sox for the next ten years. Plus, the Detroit Tigers would probably represent the best place for Smoltz, who owns a no-trade clause. I guess the Red Sox could move Hansen and Pedroia. Though, like you said, is it worth it to trade a potential closer, and your 2007-17 2B for a guy who could blow out an elbow? There's no need to give up that much for Smoltz. The Red Sox have a pretty formidable front four. You could match those pitchers against any staff in baseball.
  13. Kyle Snyder might be worth another look. Three runs. We can do that.
  14. The Jason Johnson expirment won't last long.
  15. HANLEY IS H0TT! Y DID we traDe hIm fur becketss.
  16. The Sox are on the road, so maybe Roadhouse Blues?
  17. I look foward to this every night.
  18. That game ruled. Slide tackling the goalie was by far the most entertaining action.
  19. Probably not, but who cares?
  20. I have to agree with you. Burnett will have a sub 3.00 ERA this year. Once he learns to throw his pitches for strikes, and his early indications are that he is now doing that, he will be a dominant pitcher.
  21. He's referring to Ted Lilly, but c'mon, Wakefield's pitched better then he has.
