  1. They should take away the "this time it counts" ********. The game is an exhibition. It should stay that way.
  2. Don't go too far out on that limb. (Though BJ Ryan is pretty close)
  3. Why not vote in four closers? The AL all-star team had five of them last year. Rivera, Papelbon, Jenks, and Ryan will all make the team.
  4. We're taking your proposed deal, and discussing it. Isn't that the point on why you posted it? Anyway, I think you did a good job constructing a deal, but the Orioles would probably want a Micheal Bowden type prospect instead of Matt Clement. My idea would be: Bowden Pedroia Alvarez FOR Tejada. Not that I'd advocate doing this.
  5. His ERA is hovering near five. Smoltz or Andruw Jones will be the lone representive for the Atlanta Braves.
  6. This trade will never happen. Peter Angelos may be a moron, but he's not that stupid. As for the people who'd be against this trade, one question. Why? Miguel Tejada is an excellent fielder. He makes more errors, but he's got a lot of range, and a bullet arm. Also he could outhit Alex Gonzalez if he was swinging with a toothpick. Tejada is probably only slightly below Gonzalez defensively, and 20 X the player Gonzalez is offensively. Money? You add two million more to the payroll for '06, and '07. Prospects? Abe Alvarez isn't much of a prospect. He's probably a middle relief guy at his peak. Pedroia's good, but he's no Tejada. Plus, you get rid of Matt Clement and his albatrostic salary. Attitude? I believe Tejada is angry because the Orioles aren't winning baseball games. Why would he have any problem in Boston? Throw in the fact that Manny, Ortiz, and Tejada are pretty close friends, and Miguel would fit well in Boston. A pipe dream, though.
  7. Wow. I thought Coco Disciples was the guy who prefered Polish sausages. Seems like you just leaped onto that bandwagon.
  8. Why? This thread was made before his hospitalization.
  9. What the f*** are you talking about? Man, why do people think what they say makes any sense? Ahhchon, is a sabermetrics guy (correct?) and therefore he thinks that Crisp shouldn't bat at the top of the order. This was his quote: Where does he suggest that Crisp should bat leadoff?
  10. Sorry to hear that. I just assumed that someone else was using your name. That being said, I can't say I disagree with the moronic statements.
  11. Where did the real Sox Fan on the Cape go?
  12. According to Micheal Kay, ESPN will cover the Yankees/Marlins game in the Florida and New York areas.
  13. According to MLB.com the Red Sox game has been postponed.
  14. Who's the goalkeeper the Lightning picked? Any chance he gets some playing time with the Lightning this year?
  15. No, he isn't. How is he making an opinion for you? Peter Gammons thinks Pedro will be booed. You don't. Two seperate opinions.
  16. Bruins might win 15 games if they get lucky. Lightning > Bruins. (OK, probably not)
  17. You should probably wait until the hitter has three hits, or completes two of the harder legs of the cycle (triple, HR)
  18. Too bad its 6-0 i want to see Papelbon. I know that sounds bad but he is just so fuking intense.
  19. Those post? Those could be: A: Irony B: Sarcasm
  20. It's called "rich justice." How many athletes do you see thrown in jail for this? Are you looking for some sort of reaction? Just because you got called out for being a jackass, doesn't mean you have to spill the s*** to other threads. Keep it confined in there. (By the way, my one error dwarfs your constant mistakes at capitalization, grammar, and other spelling errors you've made.)
  21. He'll pitch, he's an athelte.
