Think real hard and remember the last time something like this happened. The Sox are a joke for one night on ESPN, then tomorrow they probably win. Oh, and the rain delay had everything to do with this.. I'm still more pissed I didn't get to see 7 innings from Smoltz more than the loss. I don't know why - I'm not a Francona appologist, but for some reason I understand (given a particular situation) why he does stuff. I just get it. I don't think he's a bad manager at all.

Haha. Down here in the Atl, all my Braves friends are calling for a sweep - by the sox. I had to be like "But DiceK has a 7+ ERA and is getting pounded and Lowe will be awesome because he's back at Fenway for the first time and Sunday is supposed to be rainy and windy so Wake's knuckler will be flat and the Braves will murder his fastball!!!" just so I could get one guy to bet me $10/game. I didn't bring up the bullpens.

Honestly, as a fenway lover with the knowledge it can't last forever and the fact they will make a replica ala the new Yankee Stadium is just a matter of fact, and the fact that old Yankee Stadium is gone for good making Fenway that much more important right now. For me, at 36, I only want to live just long enough to see a new one. If that means 60 or 80, that's fine. I just want to know Fenway will go on (which I know it will) and may want to see a new one just before I'm done, whenever that is. But for now, hellz yeah I love Old Fenway! I hope it goes another 50 years but I know it wont. They should definitely treat her better than the Tigers have treated old Tiger Stadium... The Metrodome can't die fast enough.

So since I do the Extra Innings packy, I get the Twins announcers for this series. They're not bad at all... I actually meant to start a thread at the beginning of the year to grade oposing teams annoucers for the whole season on road games but forgot about it. Anyway, they are sooooo psyched about Target Field being built. Now the fact it's Target means to me it will be cheap, or was hoping it would be nice and just be a naming rights thing. Guys making millions to play baseball should be forced to play in 40 degree weather at least 9 times a year. Anyway, good for them. Good team, Good announcers (not best, but good), good organization.
