  1. Smoltz - 5 innings of shutout ball so far with 9 ks! This is exactly why Penny should head back to AAAA. Hell, even Pedro can still win there.
  2. I'd love it if they DFA'd him if Koteras returns with Wake. Can he do anything anymore? He can't run, throw or hit - from either side. If his only skill left is "calling a great game!!!!@@!!!!" then make him the friggin manager of the Drive already.
  3. So if Papi and Manny tested positive in 2003, what does that have to do with the 2004 WS?
  4. Don't forget to quote me on that Gom.
  5. Anything to help your posts... Go right ahead.
  6. Well, I can at least hang my hat on the fact the Yanks always get shut down the day after a killing like this. No way they score more than 3 tomorrow since they blew their collective load on this game.
  7. Yeah, so I hate Brad Penny too.
  8. Hell yeah - Tv 38! Him and Ned were the two best Sox announcers of my life. Remy's ok and I love Eck, but Monty was AWESOME when he came back. f*** you Jacoby_Ellsbury, he sounded great. If I had a choice in it all, it would be: Orsillo/Montgomery Orsillo/Eck Orsillo/Remy AND NO. PLEASE, GOD, NO THREE-MAN BOOTH. I watch on extra innings and I get to watch other team's broadcasts and the three man booth SUCKS. There's even a 6 man booth I think somewhere in the NL where it's 3 guys for the first 5 innings and a different set of 3 guys for the last 4. It sucks. How about Remy on Beckett and Lester starts, Monty the Wakefield games and the rest go to Eck?? I like this rotation.
  9. Great game. This is why I love baseball. I think it was probably the best game of the year so far - but I had to watch the Rangers broadcast, so I don't know how the NESN version went. But as for the Rangers guys, I just felt bad for them. They were all set for an easy win then BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!! GG
  10. Good for him.
  11. I found this a fun read even if it is just a rumor. http://www.rotoinfo.com/read_article.php?articleId=380
  12. I think you have to be the most niave person alive to think he's clean. Borderline stupid retard actually. Do this, go youtube the 1991 world series (it was on mlb network on Saturday). Watch one inning and you'll have your answer. They are all using PEDs - still. And if anyone is truly "shocked" by any future name coming out, well, you're an idiot there too. This is almost like going to an NFL forum and asking seriously "Gee, do you think any NFL players use PED? I don't think so.."
  13. That was awesome on so many levels. If spun well from here, the list becomes useless after a while because (unless you admitted to using, lol) nobody can definitively tell who of the other 100 were the true 84. And every player going forward can use this same excuse on top of it all. wow. Brilliance! And how about Papi - getting the whole union to defend him? Every player in baseball must love this guy.
  14. Ok, I hate Penny AND his hair. I don't have a good feeling for tonight either so I'm wearing my lucky shirt. But I'll tell you, nothing scares the s*** out of me more than thinking that Smoltz is starting the Yankee series. I saw that today and, well, just sighed. Poor guy's gonna get lit up like a roman candle. But back to Penny. He sucks. His moist hair does too. What, does he have crisco up there? Just throw the f***ing ball already.
  15. Sort of... It's Camden Yards.
  16. f*** you *******. Leave Monty alone. Obviously you're like 20 years old or something. Milkshake.
  17. Ok, I'm a little behind real-time on Tivo, but Bob Montgomery still sounds amazing! This is so retro-awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Exactly. I'd put a paycheck on the line to say he's also on the list.
  19. That quote is fine. He was talking about now that there is testing, not 2003 - not that he would have told the truth if asked about 2003... just saying. But I'm not surprised. I think steroid use was even more than the 104 that got busted. I bet you could take the top 100 players for each year from 1990 to now and find they are using some sort of PED. To not suspect someone is foolish. The real problem is why do we care? Release all the rest of the names. Pedro, Nomar, Jeter, Posada, all of them. The best of the best during those years all used PEDs. The smart ones like Schilling and Jeter didn't and will never get caught. The dummys got busted. Release the names already.
  20. So where does this come from? Who's spreading this? "BOSTON (NEWS CENTER) - Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is back with the Red Sox after leaving Tuesday night's game to be with his sick daughter. Ortiz said his 8-year-old daughter Alexandra came down with a stomach sickness that required her to be hospitalized. She is now back home and doing well. Ortiz told the Boston Globe today that she basically ate too much. She recovered in time to see the end of Tuesday's game against Oakland with Big Papi at her side." http://www.wcsh6.com/sports/story.aspx?storyid=107575&catid=6 I probably wasn't the only one who just assumed he was being pinch hit for last night. So this type of "news" or whatever is meant to help him and his reputation, not hurt him. I think the current front office uses the media in a much better (and fair) way than previous owners. I honestly think that was what the big dust up between Theo and Lucchino was about. Since then, who was the last player "run out of town" by the FO or the media? I reject Manny as one because he was a truly a pain in the ass.
  21. With this news the Sox will surely become sellers!
  22. What? Do you question me???
  23. I look at LaRoche (the dorks in atlanta called him Roachy down here in hell) as the other half of JD Drew. They have to be related like that episode of X Files where the two southern hick brothers stashed their mom under the bed and occasionally raped her to extend the family. Drew and LaRoche are the exact same way. I'm tellin' ya.
  24. This is just another depth move and I like it. I think they want to avoid another 2006 where they got killed with injuries in the second half towards the end. Unlike a few days ago, if Lowell and Papi continue to have issues or get worse, now there are warm bodies with mid 20ish power numbers to back them up in the lineup and on the infield corners. And like everyone's saying, I'm surprised anyone picked lugo up, so I assume the sox will be on the hook for Lugy though next season like the Renteria deal.
  25. he played for the Braves when they were winning divisions.
