  1. Giambi OPS- .815 Bellhorn OPS- .719 Lighten up kids, today's a happy day.
  2. Whoa, easy folks. I'd hate to see what you're like when you're 4 games back in the standings. Yup great 4th of July. Randy steps up tomorrow to get within 3
  3. Down to 4 http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/NYY10107042210.jpeg

  5. Whatever, hate on Sheffield all you want. Give me 25 guys with Sheffield's 'attitude' on the Yankees, and we're sitting pretty. I wish more guys played with his fire.
  6. And with that, the lead is down to 5. http://images.sportsline.com/u/photos/baseball/mlb/img8617769.jpg
  7. Morons... I've said it before, Sheffield the guy everyone needs on a team. Plays with fire, plays well and wants to win. What else do you want? And if some guy punched you in the face when you're trying to retrieve a double, what would you do?
  8. The Yankees have been terrible? God you people are stupid. Everything is an attack on the Red Sox. And I wasn't big on Pavano.

  11. Like Sheff the other day..
  12. I would also like to say that yeszir, you've done a hell of a job with this site. Keep up the good work man.
  13. Green is a steal, and is going to be a stud for the Celts in a few seasons. I think the Knicks had a pretty good draft, and if they can land a guy like Ilgauskis they'll be set up pretty well. Also some chatter about Antoine Walker coming to NY. The Knicks should be in the playoffs this year, and may make some noise.
  14. I coulda sworn he was better than Mariano Rivera. What happened guys? (you've gotta give me something, they've been terrible)
  15. The Yankees will win the American League East in the year 2005, en route to a World Championship. Don't believe me, mock me, do whatever the f*** you want. But we're taking it.
  16. Well, I would really love to be able to do that. But it is impossible for me to quit on the team. And until I do, I can't accept that. It's a nice thought, but its something I won't be able to handle until the team is dead and buried in November. They're not done.
  17. Yeah I'm trying to put down the Red Sox and their entire fan base, as I am saying I'm glad the Sox lost and the Yankees didn't lose ground. It's in a bad tone, but nothing insulting to anyone. Not saying anything about people's families, and did not threaten anyone.
  18. Like I said before, it wasn't directed at him nor other people here. The point is that I have put up with this banter for too long, not here but in real life. I know for you guys its been gravy since Game 4 of the ALCS, but for me its been hell. Not from Sox fans, whom I've respected for winning, but Met fans who started taking shots at me and the Yankees in general. It's simply gotten worse and worse since that 19-8 game. It's next to impossible to deal with, and there is a need to vent the frustration. Now I'm seeing this garbage from those I respected, who are needlessly taking shots at the Yankees. Again, I'm not here to start a fight. Just very difficult times and this is an outlet.
  19. First off to any mental migets who keep calling Sheffield a cheater, read this article. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/magazine/10/04/sheffield_bonds1011/ Second, Gary Sheffield is the perfect guy for the Yankees to have, especially at this point in time. He plays with fire all the time and just wants to win. We don't have enough players like that. He WANTS to be here and he's a star, not like these guys who come over and fall apart in NY. It makes absolutely no sense to move him, especially for a scrub like Cameron whose batting average is falling faster than Rivera's ERA. I've said it a few places, if the Yankees trade Sheffield and don't get a steal in the trade, I don't watch another game all season.
  20. "Arguing over the internet is like the special olypmics. Even if you win, you are still retarded." Even funnier is trying to pick a fight over the internet. Excuse me while I go cower in fear of the almighty lover of Youk!
  21. Again, I deserve all that because I had the audacity to be a Yankee fan. How dare I?! Boy that is ridiculous. Who cares if he supports his team! They're playing .500!!! I gave Sox fans a lot more credit than Met fans, but perhaps it was unfounded. You seem to be just as if not more bitter, and you won the whole thing last year. Championship changed nothing, same attitude. Talk your crap now, enjoy it.
  22. Boredom, extreme boredom. And don't give me any sob stories, I've dealt with a load of crap from everyone this year. I'm here after the Yankees were smacked by the Tigers. If I were looking to pick a fight or gloat, wouldn't I find another day? But I digress, I'm not going to fight because I'm on a short leash being a Yankee fan, and there would be no way I'd be allowed to express a strong opinion without hearing about it. "Where were you at 17-1? Where were you when we swept the Guardians? Where were you when I was doing 'yo momma?' " Someone just turned 12! Yay!!!
  23. Why is everyone compelled to take shots at the Yankees, all the time? Not really directed at you, but I've really dealt with a lot of crap this year from everyone and their mother about the season. I'm not a guy who's rubbed the Yankees dominance in anyone's face, yet I've felt the brunt of it, because I'm a big Yankee fan. Obviously I'm asking for trouble coming to a Sox board, but it does piss me off to no end.
  24. Dear Red Sox, thank you for being raped by the Blue Jays tonight. The sting of Randy Johnson and Reed Johnson confusing their dominating abilites for a night is not totally hurting me. Keep up the good work for another few weeks. -your friend, Tommy
  25. Hey long time folks. Have it be noted that I'm not jumping back onto these boards to gloat about the Yankees, seeing that they're playing terrible this year, and they were smacked by Polanco and Bonderman today. Anyway, I still hold my faith in the Bombers this year. Womack has to be out of the lineup, permanently and they're going to need to make a trade for a bonafide centerfielder. I love the idea of making a move for A.J. Burnett and Juan Pierre/Mark Kotsay, because they really fill the holes we've got right now. There is no defense for Randy Johnson this year, he has flat out sucked. However, being that he's Randy Johnson, we all know he can turn it on like that and go on a run. We're going to need Jeter and Sheffield to get hot at the same time, and the pitchers to get into a groove to make a run. Easier said than done, of course. I still think that the Yankees are very much alive. We're a whole 6 games out of first and have yet to click. Nobody buried the Yankees in the east, and its going to come back and bite them in the ass. In case you were wondering, the Sox sat 8.5 back on July 1st last year and finished 3 back at the end of the year, and in the playoffs. Long story short, don't write off the Yankees, you will regret it.
