  1. Very observent, Zim, I agree that the injuries thus far have been odd. Why is Nomar's injury keeping him out so long. Wasn't he supposed to miss THE FIRST WEEK, not the first half. If this is the case, maybe the team should investigate a new medical staff. I'm sure there are others that can be more competent than the one we have now.
  2. If Nixon's injuries continue to set him back, under the "Win It Now" philosophy that we're obviously employing this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Nixon traded, and maybe for Raul. I dislike Raul and love Nixon, but it wouldn't be wrose trade we've ever made.
  3. This would be a huge game.
  4. It is incredible how bad he is doing. And he's in a contract year. WOW
  5. Lowe has been horrible. It's unbelieveable.
  6. Red Sox Fans are absolutely the best in the world.
  7. I was very unimpressed by Bellhorn's two recent fielding blunders. I don't know if we can continue to give away outs.
  8. Haha, way to bite your own tongue.
  9. The reason for this is that OPS is an overrated stat.
  10. absolutely amazing
  11. 2 outs, 2 strikes...
  12. I'm not going to say anything, but anyone who has it should watch TBS. Randy is pitching well...
  13. I know this is a little late, but just on the topic of Manny's baserunning blunder on that double play, I was pretty surprised. He's a pretty good baserunner mostly, although he's slow. He has made some good plays, such as taking an extra base on a bounced ball late last year (don't remember the exact game). Although he's not quite the smartest PERSON, but he seems to be a smart PLAYER. Seemed like a stupid play that he won't make again.
  14. I guess I liked him too, but he was definitely worth trading for Colon (which we should have done) and he wasn't proving himself at all. He proved very hittable, and he wasn't very good against righties. As a lefthanded specialist out of the bullpen, he could be valuable. He is not, however, the ace starting pitcher that we Bostonians overvalued him as.
  15. That's unfortunate, probably having the best year of his career so far. I've always been a Glaus fan, especially when he was the World Series Hero two years ago.
  16. Thank you, you made me feel a lot better about the Sox.
  17. But he has been playing good defense. That play (I forget against who) where he caught a ball on a short hop sprinting towards home plate and threw out the runner off balance was one of the better plays I've seen this year...and I watch webgems on Baseball Tonight
  18. I think you are very wrong. How can bill Mueller be the REALLY weak spot. Before last year, he was known as a defensive player that can occasionally hit for a good average.
  19. I don't understand. Didn't this guy retire lol
  20. 34 Errors in 37 games so far. That is just terrible, I'm sure that's a record for a team that in first (at least at the beginning of today) in their division. Never has there been a team that's been good enough to win a championship, but could not play defense. Can the Sox still win it all without great defense? I think the biggest problem is having Nixon out. With Nixon, who has great range and usually plays good D, the Sox don't need to have two bad outfielders, and they can survive with just Manny. Also, with Mueller out for a few games, our third base defense suffers. Crespo, Bellhorn, Youkilis, Daubach, Ortiz, Millar all play bad defense, and none would have to be in (Ortiz would DH, Millar 1B) without our injuries.
  21. Wow, he has been excellent.
  22. Well, Ok, Halls is out. I guess they did their job. Now we need RUNS.
  23. So frusterating, why not take pitches and get Halladay out of the game. He probably threw 9 pitches that inning.
