  1. I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Don't ask why, not really sure myself! (I grew up on Cape Cod)
  2. This was certainly an improvement! Lowe has looked like his old (2002?) self in his last two games. And Trot and Nomar seem to be getting into mid-season form already. Hopefully this will give them a little boost of confidence heading into San Fran.
  3. looks like there is great potential for a rain delay. major storm heading towards denver, although it doesn't look like it should last too long. Just what we need, extra time for Lowe to sit around getting stressed out. Someone get the poor man some Prozac! If he does what he is supposed to do and keeps the ball down, he should be okay. The defense behind him looks good with Pokey back in there. (Not sure how Belhorn is at third - he's in instead of Youks). But if Lowe is even the slightest bit off his game, it has potential to get really ugly. It's only June... It's only June...
  4. Infielders we have plenty of with Nomar back. Outfielders, on the other hand, we are definitely need one or two more, but preferably one or two more that can hit! (by the way, where the heck is Nixon!???)
  5. As much as I'd like to see Dinardo spend a little time at AAA, I don't think they can send him down. Wasn't he a Rule 5 draft pick? doesn't that mean they are stuck with him for the season or they lose him completely? That being said, I see no reason for keeping Crespo around once Nomar is back.
  6. I thought I saw that Nomar was playing one more game in pawtucket, and then joining the big team on Thursday. Maybe he's waiting for an easier pitcher.
  7. Thought I'd step up to the plate and get this thread going. While the thought of Lowe on turf always scares me, at least it's that funky new shag carpet that isn't quite so bad. Our defense has enough trouble without the ball taking any weird high hops. I think that as long as we avoid errors, we should be okay. As I recall, both of Lowe's last two starts involved multiple-error innings and unearned runs. GO SOX!
  8. Not from Tennessee, just a current resident. I'm in Chattanooga.
  9. My husband is from Australia, and I've converted him into a huge Sox fan. Poor guy! We now live in TN, and lots of people ask if he's from Boston because of the accent. I'm originally from Cape Cod. I'm always amazed at the number of Sox fans I meet no matter where I go.
