  1. Soon, very soon I think. But it doesnt seem like the sox are struggling without him and nomar. Far from it in fact. Things are very good right now in Red Sox nation.
  2. It seems like half of the stadium was up and cheering for that manny shot. Sox fans are taking over! And for vazquez, his pitch count is getting up there, around 65 after 3 ip. Thats the downside of getting so many K's. Now Pedro has a lead to work with, so I feel much more comfortable. Phew.
  3. Unfortunately, Vazquez looks pretty good. 4 k's in two innings, but he did give up a hit and a hbp. Pedro looks damn good too, and whats up with millar, flashing the leather.
  4. Joel Sherman's NY post article: http://www.nypost.com/sports/yankees/19559.htm Everyone hates Jeter now too.
  5. The outlook looks bleak. We're gonna get swept in the first round of the playoffs. This sucks. Talk about embarassment.
  6. The yankees have a tough month ahead. They play Oakland twice, KC once, Seattle twice, Anaheim twice, texas once, TB once, and Baltimore once. (talking about series here, not individual games). Thats a tough run of games, and if they continue to play how they are playing now (which I seriously doubt), they could very well end may still under .500. The sox, on the other hand, Play texas once, Cleveland twice, KC once, Toronto twice, TB once, Oakland once, and Seattle once. While this is a somewaht tough schedule, it is definitely easier than what the yankees have to face. The sox need to capitalize on the next few weeks in particular and pull ahead of the yankees to a point where they have to fight back for the rest of the season. For once, the Yankees should be playing catch up, not us.
  7. This should be a great game. If Bronson shut down the yankees like he did, I cant wait to see what Pedro will do against their slumping bats. If we sweep 'em at their own stadium, I can only imagine the cries of despair that will come from yankee fans. It may be a blow that the yankees wouldnt ever truly recover from. Winning 6-7 against New York would be one of the highlights of my Red Sox life. Heck, seeing the fans' reactions now already is a highlight. I love it.
  8. Bleh, I still hate him. Him and pedro in 99 would have been EXPENSIVE. But we'd a won, thats for sure.
  9. Thats amazing, 0 for his last 21. I think people in New York are starting to realize how vastly overrated he truly is. Nomar's better (even though he has yet to play all season). And I say again, the sox will be SO DAMN GOOD with nomar and trot back. Just think about it. That means we won't have to see crespo and reese play so much!
  10. Cry I guess. "1918" "Its only April" "Who has 26 world series wins" "shut up" "steinbrenner will do something" "when was the last time you won a worldseries" "AAAAROOOOON bOOOOOOONE" Stuff like that probably.
  11. I'm glad that ones over. And now I am going to enjoy yet ANOTHER day of yankee fan bitching. Ahhh.
  12. roary did mention it up a little bit. He didnt say much about it, so lets elaborate. He did pitch extremely well and I'm starting to warm up to the idea of him being #5. Pitching like that in New York is a big thing. IP H R ER BB K HR Season ERA B. Arroyo 6 4 2 2 2 4 1 5.79 Decently impressive. Good numbers from a number 5 starter, you cant ask for more than that.
  13. How. Dare. You! He's still the second best catcher in the AL, no matter what you say about him. He hits well, but what he does behind the plate is what counts. Take, for example, what he just did. He threw out Sheff to end the inning and give the sox the chance to go ahead. I like Tek, and I now hate you.
  14. Alriiiiiiiight!!!!! Now we have a lead to work with. Finally we score a run.
  15. Yea, you get to laugh at the people who shelled out 20 bucks more than you while enjoying the same unobstructed view. I like that too.
  16. 0-18 with RISP is unacceptable. The sox don't deserve to win this one. But if they do, I cant complain.
  17. Sox out to an early lead. Yankees are still playing catch up
  18. He's crafty, my favorite type. Of course, he'll most likely implode at the most inopportune time, but whatever. We'll see I guess.
  19. I'm just worried about Bronson vs. Brown. Its a bit of a mismatch, but hopefully the sox can carry over last night's momentum and further sink the yankees. One more loss and mfy fans begin commiting suicide in droves.
  20. wurd, welcome Noah. And redsoxrooter, my orange juice tastes better, just like your coffee.
  21. Wait until nomar and trot come back. A force to be reckoned with indeed. But I'm not one to gloat because I know the Red Sox and I know the Yankees. This wont last for long. The sox'll implode and the yankees'll come on strong. It should make for an interesting season though, as the teams are pretty much evenly matched. Just, not in this game.
  22. The yankee message boards are freaking out! http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?threadid=61165 And it goes on and on. Seriously, they sound like us! And threatening to give up on a team because they are 8-10 is classic! I stand behind my bandwagon theory!
  23. Oh I know, I don't think I've ever seen yankee stadium so empty. It was awesome! I think the rain contributed to it as well, but we can say it was all in the whomping they got from the sox!
  24. Who is this guy? I hadnt heard ANYTHING about him before, and he basically pitched extremely well against the yankees tonight. I'm excited about him, but does anyone know anything? Orsillo mentioned dominance in the minors.
