Suarez as ad some tough outings, but has not got the run support and good luck others have had, this year. If he gets the win tonight, he'll be 8-4. Not going deeper into games has been one reason he hasn't gotten the win, but he has done better than an 8-4 record indicates.

If we win tonight, the team will be 17-10 in his starts, which is very good. I'll say it again: I'd rather have Suarez, Durbin, Seigler & Monasterio than Bregman, Harrison, Drohan & DHam.

Before tonight's game, Suarez placed 22nd out of all pitchers with 130+ IP in ERA- (78.) He may have moved up. He's tied with Gray in xFIP- at 88. He was ahead of Gray in fQAR 3.6 to 3.2 and widened the gap after this game.

When's the last time we had 3 SP'ers in the top 26 in fWAR and top 22 in ERA-?
