Not much talk about adding Capra to the 40 and 26. He went 2 for 3 with a 2B & BB today to bring his seasonal OPS to 1.072.

Eaton went 0-5 w 4Ks.

Castro & Hickey homered but both remain below .581.

Sansone got lit up in the WOO loss.

Hunter Noll had an article on KC today.

In 2026, Campbell is pulling the ball less (38.2%). His opposite field percentage has actually dropped to 33.8%, while he’s hitting the ball to the center of the field 27.9% of the time.

Campbell’s also hitting the ball on the ground less this year, going from 52.2% to 41.2%. His line drive rate has dropped from 30.1% to 26.5%, meaning his fly ball rate has jumped significantly from 17.7% to 32.4%.

Almost all of those numbers point to positive progression for Campbell; some of the numbers (notably the slugging percentage) haven’t caught up yet.

If you aren’t just box score watching, you’ll see that Kristian Campbell is making strides and has every chance to still become the impact player that the Red Sox need. Don’t be surprised if he returns to the majors at some point in 2026 and helps the team as they try to right the ship, but he still needs more time to prepare for that promotion.

The way our offense is doing, it might be sooner rather than later.

Maybe? I wouldn't promote Eyanson until June though. No reason to rush him along. Tolle was in GRE until the end of June last year.

Eyanson was promoted today to POR!!!

The season started with Bennett, Tolle & Early in AAA. (soxprospects had Bennett starting at AA on their projection charts in January.)

Now Eyanson is jumping up to AA.

Maybe Holobetz or Mullins goes up to WOO next? Woo is kinda short on SP'ers, right now.

KC proving you right!

Call him up!

It's not username Garcia, but yes a dinger.

Cespedes is up to .972 after a 3 for 6 night. YRod at .948.

Jackson (Grissom trade) went 4 for 5.

Azocar is at .881 and Opata walked 4 times to get to .862.

No pitching to brag about, tonight.

I think both Holobetz and Mullins need to move up by midseason. I'd move up Holobetz first.

Leighton Finley could be on the list for a promotion in the near term too if a spot opens up. Dylan Brown was recently promoted to GRE. College pitchers just mow down hitters in low A. Once there are spots in GRE, those guys get moved up if they are pitching decently.

KC's swing data is getting better. More flyballs. Even if he's not strictly a pull hitter, I'll take it.

Yes, as I asked about a while ago. You suggested maybe June at the earliest.

Sox OPS on the farm (90+ PAs):

1.129 Arias (barely slowing down)

1.051 Capra (decent AAA depth)

.972 Cespedes (hottest hitter on the farm)

.948 YRod (maybe justifying the Priester trade?)

.930 Gasper (more decent AAA depth)

.881 Azocar (showing he belongs in the top 30)

.877 Godbout (nice draft pick)

.836 Gonzales (doing fine)

______________________

OPS Against (20+ IP)

.361 Futrell (Wow!)

.470 Mullins (Keeps putting up good numbers)

.540 Brown

You may be surprised by this, but I'm not actually in charge of promotions!

You may be surprised that I totally respect your knowledge on our prospects.

After I mentioned promoting Eyanson, and I read your reply, I agreed with you.

Gasper homered again (6th) as did Eaton & Hickey in Woo's 9-7 loss in extra innings. Slaten pitched the first inning and did not allow a run.

GRE lost 13-12 as Hernandez & YRod homered twice (7th & 8th) as did Yuten, Cespedes & White once. YRod is now at 1.006 and Cespedes at .992. Whitherspoon let up 3 ERs in 4 IP.

POR was rained out. Salem is down 6-4 late.

You beat me to it today.
Witherspoon had given up 1 run when he left, but Webb gave up 2 hits and the 2 runners on base when Witherspoon left easily scored.
