Smiley-Beni Day 2025

OK, not quite the way we wanted it, but I'll celebrate it nonetheless.  For those unacquainted with Smiley-Beni Day, it's a renaming of Yankees Elimation Day, named for a prolific poster on boston.com who littered the chatboard daily, taunting Yankees' fans, even when we had nothing to taunt them about.  Happy Smiley-Beni Day one and all!

You lasted 6 days longer and won a wild card series. Congrats! Keep whining and trolling! Both teams accomplished nothing of note this season.

I remember the days when Yankee trolls used to say things like “any season that doesn’t end with a ring is a disappointment.”   Now they’re down to “at least we got through the wild card round.”…

Spent the whole year in hiding while the Sox were doing well and then wait until the Sox get kicked out of the playoffs to post again? Now that sounds cowardly to me. 🤔

I still believe that any season that doesn't end in a ring is a disappointment.
