This is a pretty good example of why Cora is a mediocre manager —at best. He sends Hamilton to D instead of keeping him on the bench to PR later in the game especially if this goes to extra innings. You might argue that he he has a better D than Campbell but he does not, Hamilton is arguably more sloppy but most importantly Campbell’s been sharp tonight at second with the glove and with all the confidence of the world. All the latter are the little intangibles that sometimes taxes you one way or another at times and that Cora doesn’t know how to read them very often.

Mediocre manager works for me. Much more accurate than genius.

If you’re a decent lefty in the minors, you get promoted to the majors very quickly.
