Have you ever had a fit of optimism? BTW, there's 31 other NHL teams that won't win a championship.

Your betting he gets signed just makes it more likely he won't.

Never

Makes you lose your hair

He’ll sign. It’s a lot of money for a goalie either way.

Where's O'Neill? Injured again? Does Cora know that the SOX aren't mathematically eliminated?

Not mathematically

Just eliminated

Rafaela chases one pitch but delivers his 75th RBI with a sharp single with the bases loaded.

Given the contract and ability to drive in runs, maybe the Sox should just work with him a little bit .

The outfield play, undersstanding call offs would help too.

Splendid, O'Neill is one guy I will have trouble remembering who he was next year, and not care.

Speaking of the Iron Man, O'Neil apparently wants 54 mil for 3 years, but he might take 48 mil. That's still a lot of money to give a guy who may play an average of 100 games a season.

The SOX FO will trade Masa and they won't get much in return unless they add another top prospect or eat a portion of his contract. Either way he will be traded to free up the DH slot.

I, personally, will miss Masa because I like the way he plays the game. Always hustles.

F'ing Story K'ing with a man on 3rd and no outs, A DP would have tied the game.  He is a veteran chaser, no excuse like the younger guys.    Not likely to become a Story fan

At least yoshi makes enough contact and Toronto bobbles a bit to get the run home.  Why do i care.  I personally hate to lose anything.

A viable Grissom, maybe platooning with Hamilton, could be a step up at 2B next year.  No more Valdez, please. Sogard isn't the answer either.      Gonzalez has value ( as may others in or out of the Sox system) by playing 1B and 3 B  , though not real well.

Well, he certainly helps shore up the SOX infield defense. Credit where credit's due.

Our Guerrero on the mound is just wild enough to intimidate hitters from digging in but make no mistake he is a natural born thrower.  That's OK if you have others who can paint the black

There's also this 22 year older named Kristian Campbell, a top prospect, who may be competing for that 2nd base job, also.

Did the Sox slide after the A-S break begin with acquisition of D. Jansen followed by Sims and Garcia. ?  Did the clubhouse consensus become WTF?

Jansen certainly relieved Wong of a significant amount of catching.  Is he that much better than McGuire, who was not having a good year.

Sims and Garcia were of no real effect.  Weak choices, Brez

Hey, Vegas, dig this. The SOX leadoff batter and the SOX number 9 batter are tied for 2nd in RBI for the SOX. You can't make this shite up.

Youk prattling on about Martin's ability to "fill up the zone" with strikes.  He walks the leadoff man,

but comes right back with the DP ball. It was all a setup, BJ fans

I liked Youk as a ballplayer, but, imho, he's a nightmare in the booth. I'm getting the Jays' feed, so I'm not being tortured by the Youk.

And the #1 guy ( also nameless) did not reach 85 RBI's.   Rafaela could catch him with a big 4 games.
