Tie game. Time for the Sox to find some guts.

Not Grissom, of course. He's still back in AAA when he was a star.

It's a rare hitter whose BA is identical to his OBP. Could it be he has not taken a single walk in 35+ AB's. Nah, couldn't be that , could it ? I'm actually glad i jumped his stuff when he wasn't even showing up .

Grissom is making Dalbec look like a hitter.

Immediately after I say this, there will be a huge uproar about being patient.

But right now the trade isn't just Sale for Grissom, with Sale having an excellent season with the Braves. It's also that the Sox are also paying Sale's $17M salary this year.

I think we were patient with Grissom already in March, and April and early May. It is now mid-May. Early is a vague concept for those who need to excuse their lack of success.

I'm happy for Sale that he gets to play for a winner this year and next. The Sox are in for a long re-build unless they get lucky with Mayer, Anthony and Teel. And, get some young power arms. Henry had better get his head out of his ass.

Bruins force a game 6. That second half was basically about playing defense. Not many shots. I will be surprised if the bruins forced a game 7.

John Henry got tired of paying top dollar for dog doodoo. See the 2019 Sox. This year the Sox payroll is $182M, 11th of 30 MLB teams. The $182M was not wisely spent, mostly because of Chaim Bloom, but paying Sale's salary this year is on the new CBO.

TB just kills the Sox.

Inability to make fairly routine plays in the infield . That was a slow ground ball, but the throw didn't need to be that rushed.

Posted
Did somebody else throw the ball away?

The intent was to indicate that having a virtual rookie bouncing between CF and SS is on the organization . See my comment about the throw did not need to be rushed. But that is what happens when inexperience meets pressure

Playing CF and SS lets him play almost every day, which should delight him no end. And he's been playing both positions for at least 5 freaking years. This is not on the organization.

????????????????????

FFS, I didn't say the throw wasn't his fault. It was about why a rookie has to learn the 2 most key defensive positions. You should be more worried about f***ing Devers grounding out to 2nd instead of winning the game

I'm not worried about Devers, I'm totally pissed off at him. Mr Unclutch.

As for Rafaela, he is simply error prone. Remember that easy-peasy pop fly he dropped early in the season? He simply lost focus, which is exactly what just happened in the 12th. He got to the ball on time, it was right in his glove, but then he seemed unsure of the transfer from the glove to his throwing hand--which led to that hitch in his throw.

Upon further review, i will say that the Rays are as bad at baseball as the Sox on occasion. Taking strike 3 on a 3-2 count from Bernandino is awful batting. WTF was he thinking?

Fully agree on the glove hand transfer. was going to mention, maybe he plays SS with an OF'ers oversized glove that makes the transfer mor difficult. You saw it correctly. I picked on the wrong point
