2024 Yankees Season Thread

Listening to fans of a .500 team trash-talk a WS team is a bit on the curious side.

Dodgers scouting report was the Yankees had talent over fundamentals. Their lack of fundamentals lost them a World Series. 
 

I know you went to the WS. Your talent won you 93 games. You lined up with quite possibly the best matchups ever in the DS and CS. The Dodgers are talented but very injured and yanks couldn’t sniff wins against them. I still think coaching changes are needed but they won’t happen. Lacking fundamentals is in the coaching staff. 
 

Now it turns to the offseason. Yanks are gonna need to get creative

 

for the lineup….

Yanks have to sign Soto. Prediction 10 years $620 mil. Stupid contract but generational player. Dodgers and Mets to be involved but Yanks cannot lose this one

Dominguez moves into CF. Judge goes to LF where he belongs. Soto stays in RF.

Torres is a FA. Yanks have a former top prospect in the wings who has been too hurt to take the next step. Might be time to see what Peraza can do if the Yanks can’t bring Torres back

 

Yanks desperately need offense out of 1b. It was a black hole this year. Gotta sign someone who can hit, whether it’s Walker or Polar Bear on a pillow deal, I don’t really care. Need to get something better than a .600 OPS out of that traditional power spot

 

Yanks also need to build out middle relief. Their closer in Weaver is back, but everyone else is gone and the upper minors pitching talent is devoid at best right now

 

This team is gonna look mighty different. Hopefully the coaching staff does as well
