If the want Rafi to continue to play 3rd nest season, they are going to have to rebuild him from the bottom up. He has thrown in the towel and that leads to bad habits. His footwork is now hideous, especially throwing the baseball. His body is all over the place as he releases the ball and there is no reason for it. Has nothing to do with rushing. He is just done and has regressed because of it.

 

He can make some great plays playing the way he is but he will continue to struggle with regular plays until he gets his head screwed on straight and gets back to fundamentals.

Actually, I've accepted the fact that Devers is what he is defensively. It's this long streak of clutchless(not a word, but I like it)at bats that pisses me off. He's supposed to be the offensive driver of this club, but when he's been really needed, he's just been a passenger.
