Devers gets 4 straight fastballs, 4 seamers, and K's. One, which he swung at and missed, was well above the strike zone. The 3d strike foul tip was pretty much right down the middle.

 

Absolutely stupendous at bat in the 3d by Devers because Kikuchi threw a bunch of excellent pitches--sliders and fastballs on the corners--at him. Finally, he got a hittable pitch and parked it.

 

Sox up 2-1 and I could not be happier to be wrong. Yet again.

Last year was terrible with Bogaerts and his 15th best WAR. This year it's better without him and with an endless string of SS's--Story, Chang, Reyes, Kike, Hamilton, and the kid in AA who might make it to Boston next year.
