This team isn’t worth a game thread. I see no purpose in chronicling our misery. It has been a long time since we have have been out of competition before September rolled around. It is reminiscent of the days of Benny the Boob.

I believe it was 1988, and I distinctly remember kicking back happily thinking I could relax for the summer, simply rooting for the RS to end .500. Cool. Baseball was fun! Then they went on that insane 20-game winning streak (well, they lost one I think). Serenity gone, anxiety back.

This team is an EMBARRASSMENT! They are in last place by what-six or seven games now? They have one of the largest payrolls in the game and THEY STILL SUCK! Henry owes the fans an apology for the excuse of a team they fielded this year along with a promise that major management and player changes will be made next year.

And the fans should be boycotting Fenway Park and if they do go, go only to boo the team from beginning to end.
