Haven't posted here in a few years but I can honestly say that this Red Sox team is the most uninspiring and bad team I have ever witnessed. I have been following them since 1958. Even the s*** teams of the early sixties with Don Buddin, Pumpsie Green, Gary Geiger, Frank Malzone, Heywood Sullivan, etc. had more heart and were better than this team and that is not saying much. What a joke.

Do you really believe this is worst than the valentine season? I didn’t even want to watch games that season

I saw a great post on Facebook yesterday featuring the 1959 Topps Red Sox cards including most of those guys you mentioned. Also some others like Ted Lepcio, Ike Delock, and Sammy White

Yes I do. At least with the Valentine team they had an excuse with the "Chicken and beer" fiasco; this team has no excuses.

The Chicken and Beer team was Tito's.

Only player to PH for both Williams and YAZ.

Yes, great players all lol. At least they had some heart. A good house cleaning has been way overdue with this team. They look like they are defeated before they even take the field.

They did have Jackie Jensen, Pete Runnels, Ted Williams and Bill Monbouquette, a good core to build around. Unfortunately Williams was in his twilight, Jensen was afraid of traveling by plane, Runnels and Mombouquette were flashed in the pan.

The SOX lost to Brad Keller today. They would have also lost to Helen Keller today.

You mean the first female president of the chUMP union ?

Jensen was a heck of an athlete. Besides baseball he was an All-American running back at the University of California in 1948.

Duran has got to learn to turn his body angle on to the sun or he is going to get hit in the head out there.

The ball mysteriously will always find the weak link. Now Duran wants to fight with the fans giving him crap from the bleachers
