Who do you consider the classiest player to wear a SOX uniform?

I'm going with Ryan Dempster.

I picked Dempster because he knew he wasn't helping the club, so instead of staying for the 3rd year of his contract, he retired. Doubt we'll see that happen too often.

Every hitter in the Brew crew lineup has an OPS in the mid .700s. The Sox AAAA lineup has 6 batters below .700

But I'm sure the Brewers are spending in the mid-$250 millions on this team.

Bill B came at the end of a string of mental and physical mistakes, and weak pitching that led to the loss. Grabbing that grounder was no assurance of an actual out at 1B.

Bill never used this excuse, but one of his teammates mentioned that Stanley had a habit of not covering 1st base in a timely fashion. The teammate felt that Buckner took his eye off the ball to check if Stanley was going to cover 1st.

But, yes, Bill was definitely a class act.

Steamers were out of vogue long before Bob Stanley picked up a ball against the Mets

Btw, Bill appeared in what I consider the funniest episode ever of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. The episode was titled MR SOFTEE. A true classic.

That was definitely a class move

Duran not running gets erased taking the speed off the bases. The pressure of carrying this team continues to fall on Vaz and Dugo, pretty unfair.

If JDM wants a slump buster, this is his shot. Now Cora pulls his one of his few guys who can hit for a runner, instead of having sent Duran. Beginning to think AC is an idiot

Thoroughly done with JDM. Not one hit since July 15 and will be hitting .275 by 6PM August 2. Some lucky GM is welcome to him

Despite JDM's current status, he will always be a favorite of mine because he has huge in 2018 and any Red Sox player who contributes to a World Series Championship always has me in their corner. I wish him good luck wherever he ends up. Same with Vaz and Nate.

I don't believe VAZ is going anywhere.

Tells you all you need to know that Sawamura is the choice out of the BP in a winnable game, so he just pushes the W further away. A pig of a pitcher
