That's fine. My only hope is that if he is interested, I hope it's sooner and not later.

Maybe he could be our bench coach, pitching coach or catching coach, first.

And like I've posted a few times before, since 2004, except for the Covid season, 1st year SOX managers have been very successful.

This is a crappy team with no leadership. They don’t just care. Blow it up! Be sellers!

Everybody told me Bogey was the leader...

I'd like to find out a bit more on who the keepers are.

I'd like to see Bello, Wink, Crawford and even Seabold get 9-10 more starts- maybe even Mata, Murphy or Groome with a few.

I'd love to see German.

I'd like to give Fitzy a chance to shine. (not expecting him to earn keeper status)

Wong & RHern? Why not?

Casas, if he's healthy.

Let Downs show what he has.

Give promotions to A+, AA and AAA to guys like...

to AAA

Santos

Wallace

Hamilton

Binelas

Koss (Rule 5)

Cottam

to AA

Drohan

Uberstine

Hickey

Kavadas

Lugo

Northcut

McDonough

to A+

Gonzalez

Angel Bastardo

Encarnacion

de la Rosa

Jordan

Mayer

Bonaci

Paulino

I will admit Winck and Kutter have surprised me.

2015-2016: .816 ops

Is .737 relevant?

Relevant enough, if you are GG caliber defender?

(He was .737 from 2017 to 2020.)

Not for an OF.

His OPS+ for the past five seasons are as follows, with the 116 in a shortened season:

92, 89, 116, 34,50

I don’t have access to a computer right now. What was his overall annual WAR over the same time period?

Are you saying he should be playing as often as Cora is playing him?

My sister and her husband just got back from visiting Nashvillle and they brought me a T-shirt. It has the iconic picture of Johnny Cash giving the music industry the finger. Ah, Johnny Cash; there will never be another.

Nice to see the Yankees beat the piss out of Pivetta. Went out drinking and missed tonight and yesterday! Tomorrow rubber game!

Yup, make sure you're wearing a Trojan. Preferably over your head.

I have been totally against the JBJ trade from day one. I do not want him to start another game. If he's our 4th or 5th OF'er/late inning defensive OF'er, I'd be okay with that.

I was just responding to a point someone made about JBJ'e past, and in particular over 5 years ago.

His annual fWAR:

1.9 2015

5.6 2016

2.5 2017

3.4 2018

1.8 2019

1.6 2020 (short season- pro-rates to over 3.5)

-1.6 2021

-0.8 2022 (pro-rate to -1.6)

He was a clear overall plus, until 2020, sometimes not by a lot, but never under 1.6 for 6 straight years... starting in 2015 and ending in 2020.

It's not just about watching success stories. It might help a little to get a feel for marginal talents.

We can also play Dalbec, Duran, Cordero and Refsnyder FT and see what they can do, off-handed.

The only two hits we got tonight were from Devers and Bogaerts. Cora threw in the towel as there was no chance in this one. It sad that we lack the talent to field a competitive team right now. We have 4 major league field players currently available. Lets get to the AS break and see what Bloom does. I don't expect a major effort to strengthen the team for 2022. Chances are we will have to replace some of our core players for 2023. There should be bucks to spend, but will Bloom use the resources effectively. I can't help but start to doubt his approach.

After the SOX took the lead 1-0 the Yankems have responded with 10 unanswered runs. Highlight film for the SOX will be amazingly short.

Make that 14 unanswered runs. And Cora is smiling on the bench. I wonder what's going on in his genius mind?

Bradley was never a relevant hitter

And yet he was still more relevant than Carpenter in 2019 and 2020.

Carpenter was one of worst players in league last two years, looked completely washed, and now at age 36 is hitting better than he ever has before? What in the f***

Well you have to understand, once he was able to get away from the intense media pressure of the Texas Rangers AAA Round Rock team and escape to the low profile, no scrutiny Yankees, he was able to relax and stop worrying about all that negative press.

Or does he just quash that whole gigantic pile of BS?

Too bad for the SOX that Carl Crawford couldn't quash it.

At least she got to see the SOX best by far player hit a homer.
