MLB.TV showing the pregame show.

I guess they started rolling out pregame shows for some franchises last June. Seemed to be a missed opportunity in the past.

The "BOSTON" jerseys are great.

On one hand, I'd like to see them more. On the other hand, I'm glad they save them for special occasions.

Doesn't look as though two pitches, a big curve and an 88 mph fast ball, are going to be enough.

He has a cutter too, but really needs to have good location. He hasn't been very good this year.

He's not a guy that misses bats, he's just up there to induce weak contact. Sometimes it doesn't work though.

Is the #44 on Hill's jersey his uniform # or his age? Wonderful, long career , local connection ( hometown discount), but limited application on a contending team. The bats need to work again today

Well, Hill does throw harder than Wakefield when Wake was 42.

Wow, , Shaw swings under a watermelon pitch at 88mph. May 1 will become the day of reckoning for a couple of the Sox. Travis may be one. Who is the other ?

I love pitching to contact--just not real good contact.

I wouldn't doubt it. Superstition seems to run rampant in MLB.

Superstition and downright ignorance. See the new thread on the injury list by mvp78. Apparently, a bunch of Sox players won't make the trip to Toronto because they don't quite believe in vaccinations.

He should have never been on this club to begin with.

I have the same feeling watching 2022 Hill as I did with 2011 Wakefield.

Like I said. Two pitches ain't enough.

Needs to be 2 outstanding pitches.

Wonder how soon we sill Hill to the pen and Whitlock to the rotation?

Does Whitlock move to the rotation in the TOR series with Houck out?
