Heck this game is such a train wreck that I am switching back and forth with 24 hours of LeMans and its 12 hours in. So they are racing in the night at the moment which is like watching 8 hours of The Blair Witch movie.

The most depressing movie ever made was Requiem For A Dream. On the depressing meter, this game beats that movie.

The starting pitching should be better. That's all I've got.

Richards and Perez have already been replaced; both will be gone. ERod will also be gone as will a couple guys at the back end of the bullpen.

I think there will be a couple of every day players traded or released who will be total surprises.

Ugly performance.

The only silver lining is that it counts as 1 loss.

I guess if you’re going to suck, it may as well be all phases in a given game. Nothings worse than the hitting being there one day but the pitching be terrible followed by the reverse the next day.

The O's are on their way for their 17th straight loss. The MLB record was the 1961 Phillies with 23 straight losses. Btw, the 1988 O's had a losing streak of 21 games.

Wasn’t that 21 straight by the O’s to start the season?

If I’m the Sox, I wouldn’t try too hard to get tomorrow’s game in.

If this tropical storm is as bad as has been forecasted, they probably won't play Monday, either. The Yankem game for tomorrow has already been postponed.

This might just qualify as the worst all around performance of the year. Bad pitching, bad hitting, bad defense and bad base running. Edited by illinoisredsox

With the place for plays off spots up for grabs, the rays and Yankees are playing great baseball.

Meanwhile the Red Sox are playing uninspiring lifeless woeful baseball .

Pardon the pun, but I believe you've covered all the bases.

The ball girls played their usual stellar defense on foul balls; I’m always amazed at how good those girls are, especially when you compare how poor their counterparts in other parks seem to be.

Someone posted a while back that they are professional softball players, or, at least, semi-professional.

They look too young for that but it wouldn’t surprise me if most are college players or perhaps players who played in college but gave up the sport.

I think I remember reading about one from a few years ago who was a women’s college hockey goalie who had played softball all through high school.

Amongst the recent wreckage Devers is now 0 for his last 19ABs …..

Except for maybe Ted Williams, those kind of slumps happen to the best of players. He'll bounce back, but I'm not so sure the SOX will.

Yeah, they definitely have a softball background.
