Come off it. Yes, of course, there's going to be political actions by some of the athletes, but they are also the best athletes in the world competing in a venue that means a lot to them.

 

That said, I think some of the sports/venues are silly, like golf, tennis, basketball, and baseball, all of which have better venues elsewhere. Beach volleyball is a joke. I do like the equestrian events, track and field (of course), decathlon, pentathlon, wrestling, swimming, canoeing/kaying/rowing, wrestling, weightlifting, and probably some others I've forgotten (like archery and shooting/marksmanship).

We see the damn writing on the wall. This team is embarrassing to watch right now. Reminding me of 2011 once again. An august swoon. I just don’t see the energy from this ball club.

I’m not buying that. Heck they could have gotten a guy like Danny duffy. Just get an arm. Frankly bloom took the sails out of this team. Meanwhile Toronto and the Yankees are heating up.

Their plate discipline is just hideous now....actually has been all season. The league has caught on to it. The reason Hernandez is a stand out is that his plate discipline has been pretty good. So is X's but I think the wrist is still killing him.

The word 'good' doesn't correlate with the 4 weaknesses. The 'weak hitting' could be temporary, but the other 3 are not.

There’s gonna be a lot of pressure on this front office come 2022 if this team implodes like they’re doing right now. Nothing’s guaranteed in 2022 and you play in one of the toughest divisions in baseball.

Opposing pitchers are just teasing these guys now. Said it a couple games ago. They are trying too hard. Individuals trying to carry the team on their backs and the one guy that is mature enough and good enough to carry a team for awhile, X-man appears to be hurt.

 

If Hernandez and X were going and the other guys were just chipping in, you would have something. Hernandez IMO has to be in this batting order and X has to get healthy.

 

Oh and the pitching is no better and no worse than anybody planned on it being at the start of the season.
