Yankees are getting their asses handed to them.....sweet...

I wonder how many fans turned off their TV to go do something else...

4-16 last year against Tampa and Yankees. Wow. How things have changed.

Well last season it looks like they didn’t even try. It was embarrassing especially against your rival.

Man, this umpire is tight

He is everywhere except low and away to right hand hitters. In that case he is giving the pitchers at least a ball width off the plate. Up and down, he is very tight, missing strikes constantly.

The Umpiring is as bad as it has ever been...worse. Are they challenging MLB to take them on with the CBA coming up? I have no idea. But it's awful.

Be interesting to see what JDM decides this winter on his option. Do you think the Sox would try to extend to keep him. I don't. If he opts out, then that will be it.

Ya definitely a lost season. Was painful

Yacksel Rios may be one of those names that is hard to recall on the RS roster about 5 years from now, unless he blows a 7 run lead. Kind of like those two napalm throwers Del Carmen and Ramirez

Cot's baseball does not show an option after this year. He had one last year.

I never paid any attention to the 2020 season. The only thing I thought was notable was how nasty the negotiations were for how the players would be paid, under what formula, blah blah blah. Does not bode well for the upcoming CBA. IMO it is going to be ugly, possibly another strike year.

Thanks for the update. makes it a more obvious short term decision then , come end of the season or playoffs for the Sox

E Rod wasn’t terrible his last start and was very very good this start. Maybe he is making me eat crow. I would love for this to be his usual!

Umpiring is fine. Not just the umpire, but the players do not see the ball with the accuracy of that strike zone imposed on the screen. That imposed strike zone is not what the players see, especially not the hitters who are making split second decisions on whether to swing.

I favor a pitcher-friendly home plate umpire who basically forces the hitters to swing rather than try to get a walk.

Ditto. Except that I was impressed with him Tuesday because it seems to me that this year ERod was one of the few pitchers who was not cheating.

A somewhat odd structure for the opt outs to come earlier in the contract but it looks like '22 is locked in. Makes him trade bait, doesn't it ?

Stanton won’t be a free agent till 2029. A lot of money coming his way. What an awful contract to say the least.

That is beyond awful. That is Pujols awful, although once he jumped to the winning Dodgers he got his Mojo back a bit.
