I feel like we can get to Cole. He hasn't been as sharp recently as he was to begin the year. Even before the pitchers started getting checked, he had some rough outings.

I will miss this one, as I will be on CBS. No, I will not be watching CBS. I will actually be ON CBS. My annual cameo on national TV is today

Today is going to be much much tougher, we are going against one of the best pitchers In the game, and they are going against one of the shittiest in the game.

Cole is beatable, but ERod will need his best performance of the year.

ERod has let up 4 or less runs in 11 of his 14 starts.

He's let up 3 or less runs in half his starts. I think we can win, if he can just do that again.

That 7.94 ERA over his last 8 starts is frightening, though, but maybe his last start was a sign of a turn-around.

In Eduardo Rodriguez's last 8 starts he has a 7.94 ERA with a .363 FIP and 3.62 xFIP. Batters have a .436 BABIP and only 53% of base runners have been stranded on base. League average is .293 and 72%

This year he has a career high strikeout rate and career low walk rate.

5 IP 3 ER won’t get it done.

We can win, if we just allow 3 runs. We can win allowing 5.

The Yankee pen has been showing cracks.

I would take 5 innings and 3 runs from Rodriguez. We shall see.

Isn’t it sad that we would consider that a good start for E Rod lmao?

He’s so terrible

So far Moon and MVP78 are 5-0 against the Yankems. One or both of them may get a call from Bloom once Andriese is DFA'd. The SOX have Marwin, which makes Andriese redundant. Marwin actually has better stuff. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

E-rod facing an all RH'd line-up doesn't inspire much confidence either, but, who knows, baseball is a strange game.

You won't be on CBS, Thunder. You'll hopefully be on TBS.

And, hopefully, I'll be getting the game on TBS and not the crappy YES.

Hope Rodriguez can survive the first couple of innings. Just keep us in the game and hope we can find a way and hit cole.

Ya this is the recipe for disaster it stranger things have happened.

The only stat of Cole's that has changed significantly in June is his reduced number of K's. And that may be a result of the anti-sticky rule. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

Slider and a great changeup in exactly the right spot. Ground out by Judge.

Santana can't hit either, but he's a better fielder than Dalbec.

This ain't the old ERod who, even in his good year (2019) insisted on throwing all or almost all fastballs in the first inning no matter what.

I don't think he needs a great fastball to be successful. Command is way more important, and so far he has it. Plus a nice variety of pitches.

moonslav was the one who said last night ERod could win this game.

Now let's see what Cole has.
