Now that Springer is healthy and playing, Toronto has the best line-up in the AL East.

Huh? Sox got Chavis, Hernandez, Gonzalez, and the redoubtable Dalbec--who together will make any opposing pitcher cringe. Springer would do well to watch video of those four swinging the bat.

Although: maybe we won't think this if you add Duran & C.Santana to the lineup. This is pretty nasty lineup, a championship caliber lineup:

Santana 1b

Verdugo LF

Martinez DH

Bogaerts SS

Devers 3b

Renfroe RF

Duran CF

Vazquez C

Arroyo 2b

Santana is not a starter anywhere.

He is starting for the Royals, no? He has an OPS+ of 115 compared to Dalbec's OPS+ of 80. If Santana isn't a starter, Dalbec is an independent league player.

Are you talking about Johan Santana? I wonder how his life is going.

This just in from Cherry-Picked Stat Samples R Us

In his last 26 games Hunter Renfroe is hitting 333/413/578 for an OPS of 991. (OK, his BAbip is a little high at 382)

I don't know how the Yanks can make this virtually all RH batting order play for a full season. All teams have to do is set up their rotation so that their RH starters face the Yanks lineup and that is an immediate disadvantage that is hard to overcome over 162.

It certainly is not a lineup that would even take advantage of the Yanks own home field.

Speaking of Johan Santana, I remember when the Red Sox (Theo) were involved in trade talks for Santana, and it looked like something might get done. Someone on Soxprospects suggested including Ryan Kalish in the deal for Santana, and the forum completely flipped out like how dare you trade away a great talent like Ryan Kallish. That shows you the mentality of Soxprospects.com.

And that's one of the knocks a lot of Yankee fans have on Cashman.

An amazing game after two freaking innings. Great heads up baserunning by Devers to go with that great defensive play and barehanded quick throw to 1b for the out. Cheap hits except for the rookie getting his first MLB hit ever. Neat to see that ball rolled into the Sox dugout.

Eovaldi Ok in the 1st and a mean badass in the 2d. Good mix on his pitches. Good command.

Did anyone else realize those were freaking Yankee-style runs the Sox scored in the 2d? Cheap, cheaper, and cheapest with no Yankee errors.
