Like I said, the Ks don't bother me, if he gets on base.

 

His .271 OBP still has a way to go, and it's his slugging everyone loves, but without a decent OBP, he'll never be a big plus.

 

BTW, his OBP was .228 in early May and .237 as recently as June 8th, so.271 is on the way up, up and away!

 

I'm real glad he has bounced back. Let's hope it's for real and for an extended time.

League average, but not league average for a 1B. League average for a 1B is like 745. Aside from DH, it's the highest OPS position. Having a black hole at 1B is not ideal. He is behind Albert Pujols. It's ugly.

Dalbec is a minimum wage player, that has to be factored in too.
