Probably, but as usual the top SOX prospects are non-pitchers. Look, I'm just saying that this season could still be considered a rebuilding year with no chance of reaching the WS with the starters the SOX currently have, or the SOX can do something to improve the odds and try to make a run for it. Scherzer is still an ACE pitcher.

A lot of teams will be in on Scherzer. The Nats should get back a pretty good package. Not sure we have one that can compete.

I've been hearing lately that the Rays, who lost their #1 pitcher, are definitely interested and they do have the prospects.

If we can't get him, I just hope it isn't an AL East team other than the O's.
