Santana, aided by his catcher, absolutely owned Rafael in that at bat. Owned him.

 

I have seen little evidence so far in this game that the pitchers are hurting because they can't doctor up the ball. So either they are doing it and not getting caught or they ain't doing it and still pitching well. Pivetta gave up that dinger because he threw a fat pitch, a fast ball down the middle.

 

Pivetta's slider and knuckle curve have worked very well.
