Workman is terrifying. He was so good for us before. What happened :(

He was never that good; even in 2019, he managed to walk 45 guys in 71 innings. He only gave up 29 hits that year though. I’d liken it a bit to Porcello the year he won the Cy Young; everything seemed to go right for him.

But overall his career has been decidedly mediocre.

Give me a call, it will be my pleasure old sport. I’ve been in several cosmopolitan cities in the world, and IMHO no one is better than Mexico City. Literally no one. Price-quality is just the best. Sure, we can go to some of the best (considered) rest of the world here like Pujol, Quintonil, Rosa Negra, Contramar, etc. you’ll love them pal.

100%

Mexico City has top quality restaurants with A++ service and bargain prices.

There is also a wide variety of cuisines to choose from.

He battled a lot of injuries, especially early on in his career.

Yes, the BB/9 was too high, but his K's were high and H/9 low enough to be decent.

2017-2019

1.127 WHIP

5.9 H/9

4.2 BB/9

10.5 K/9

0.8 HR/9

3.52 FIP

2.59 ERA in 153 IP.

If he could get back to that, we'd have us a nice set up man.

Velocity appears down a tick. Very little movement on the pitches and he is throwing the cutter (?) too much and it gets hammered!

We will be going in the next 365 days. Maybe end of year if things are good.

As a food person. Who could cook you a dinner you'd never forget, and has tried great food all over the world. Mexico City blew me away. I'll look up some of those restaurants.

You know, one of our favorite dishes in Mexico is Pozole. My wife in Asian, she won't eat Texmex. Pozole hits the spot for her. Add lime, cilantro, add some fresh chili in there.

I'm a super fan also. Comfort food to me.

True, he’s just even worse this year lol.

We knew a great Pozole place that only opened on Sundays. Two old ladies ran the place. It was packed.

I love Rajas. (Poblano Pepper strips with onions and crema- a sort of creamy sour sream.)

Tinga, Tacos al pastor, picadillo and so much more.

Well, Texmex food is not Mexican food at all. Similar but we do not eat that, specially in Mexico City.

Pozole is a great dish. I like it as well. Here there’s a chain of restaurants (like McDonalds lol) called “La Casa de Toño” which its speciality is pozole. It’s a must to go spot when you come here. Literally you will spend like 10 bucks (maybe less) and you will get a festín. Not to mention the service is ultra fast — I think they have a Guinness record for that.

The offer of restaurants and variety is really big and for all budgets, and even those which are “expensive”, they aren’t for Americans.

Let me know when you come and I can share you a list of my fav.

That food is what most people eat in Mexico City. Love it as well. Out there are thousands of great rest where you can eat this, specially Tacos al Pastor.

I guess you lived here moon. You are very well informed.

We ate at “La Casa de Toño” a few times. There was one just a couple blocks away from our hotel. We had the pozole. We couldn't believe a chain like that had such great food.

And Moon, I had Rajas once in Mexico. It was a side dish. It was so good I had to ask the waiter what it was, I wanted to try to make it when I got home. I thought it was cactus and he told me chili. It kind of blew me away a simple vegetable dish was so good.

Oh oks, glad to hear you liked it.

Las rajas are made of a chili called “Chile Poblano”. Depending of the rest and even the region, it can be cooked in several ways. I like them in quesadillas with queso Oaxaca lol.

Yes, I lived in Taxquena for almost 4 years. Stayed pretty much to the south for the most part.

We were married in Coyocan.

I miss the big city and did not want to move, but finances were becoming strained.

Oh I know the area of Taxqueña, I had a girlfriend who lived there. It’s in the south. In those days I lived in la Colonia Nápoles. Today I live in the north, actually en el Estado de México, in a zone called Zona Esmeralda. Veeeeery far from Taxqueña lol

I know Coyoacan as well. It is a very nice zone with a lot of culture and a great place for tourists and of course to get married. The neighborhoods and architecture in Coyoacan are beautiful. A lot of things to do there — restaurants, museums, malls, bars, etc.

One of my wife's best friends lives in Coyocan, and whenever we visit, we stay at her house.

Yes, it is a very nice area. Safe, too.
