Perez needed a good start and he’s getting shelled.

To be fair, these guys destroy all our starters. They are a very good club and by the looks of it much better than us.

They’re not unbeatable. Idk it would be nice if they showed against them.

Ump gave up on that pitch at the top of the zone. You could literally see him turn away from the pitch giving up on it. Where did they get him from...little league?

ML chUMPS are similar to supreme court justices; they wear the black until they die.

Somebody is going to run into something with runners on if Perez stays out there much longer.

Ya we just seem to s*** ourselves against them. So frustrating

The bad news is that Perez--and the Sox--are getting killed.

The good news is that, if Perez were pitching well, the Sox would still lose to Valdez. 6 days ago Valdez went 7 innings, outpitched Pivetta, and the Astros won 2-1.

Gotta give Cora credit. He could have brought Perez out for more punishment. Andriese ain't so hot this year, but this is the right job for him tonight. Plus he just got 2 outs in 2 hitters.

Valdez does something I have never seen a Sox pitcher do. He works the bottom of the strike zone extremely well.

I've seen Sox pitchers--rarely--attempt to work the bottom of the strike zone. But I've never seen one actually do it well.

Valdez's curve is nasty, but very seldom a strike. Maybe the SOX batters can figure that out.

Of course, they've had 10 innings to solve it and nothing learned. Maybe I should send an e-mail to the dugout.
