I like the format because I do not like the endless extra inning games.

The powers that be have changed so much of what baseball used to be, I'm still expecting the 4 fouls and you're out to be enacted.

Yes... we got that one bailout strike called, but our guys deserve that come from behind win for the sweep!

BIG BIG SWEEP!

Yankees in 4th, 1/2 game behind the Jays.

Sox still 1 game behind the Rays, but you gotta love a 4 game winning streak.

ESPN announcers are of course heartbroken.

I would kind of like that rule if pitching weren't so dominant these days.

Richards pitched poorly enough to let up 5-7 runs. The Yanks scored 3 off him.

We bumbled in the field, again.

We were saved by the DP- three times.

We were saved by a timely hit by Bogey.

We were saved by a horrific strike call.

We could have lost this game countless ways.

We didn't.

Is this magical or is it something special about this team?

I do know one thing: this is fun!

Moon, who didn't want the job, has been very effective.

Somebody had to apply pressure to the bleeding.

Fun in a 'smoke 'em if you got' em' kind of way.

Because someone had to be covering home.

In that situation, why? Odor was on 3rd, he either going to score no matter what or the game’s over. Wade’s the tie run, need to keep him at first.

This team and this season are from the twilight zone. Last night the bottom of the order delivered 4 crucial rbi's in a game in which ERod showed flashes of his past successes and certainly looked more confident.

Tonight--you missed this--Barnes blew a save and Valdez got one.

Hopefully, the SOX can blow away Miami tomorrow at 5:00 PM, because Barnes will definitely not be available.

Might be why you didn’t see Sawamura tonight.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Barnes out until Wednesday.

Excellent point.

The SOX did their best to let the Yankems win. Obviously, the Yankems didn't want their help.

For those who go back far enough, does the way Richards escapes jams remind anyone of the Spaceman, Bill Lee? Guys always on base, get 2-3 DPs to get out of innings.

Richards has better stuff, but the MO similarity just struck me.

My bad. I lost track of the baserunners. Vaz should have been backing up 1st base.

I'm watching the games.

I'm just keeping the no show game thread mojo working.

Good comparison. When it comes to Bill Lee, I mostly remember the HR he gave up to Perez and his fishing boots.

Good call.

Bill Lee was the master of the 11 hit shutout.
