Counter to that Jerry is that it may have kept them out of a double play. So choices were first and second with one out OR third with two out. After that K though it's now 1st and 2nd with two away....so who knows. But I didn't hate the contact play.

Now that the bottom of the order is hitting the top of the order has stalled. Big missed opportunity for big inning.

I kinda like the "contact" call. It takes a good throw and catch to make the out.
