My one concern with Gardner is that Boone is gonna go to him far more than he should. Gardy is Boone’s binky. Frazier is the future and the now, so I hope he gets ample chances to keep the spot. But Gardner provides good D, great base running, good OBP and surprising pop for a guy his size. He’s a good add for this team

I read a funny comment by a Yankee fan about why Cashman keeps signing Gardner. His theory was that Gardner bears physical a resemblance to Cashman, and for Cashman it's like one of those video games where you format a player to look like yourself.
