F me to tears!

Bobby Daubach

This would be a great story if this kid becomes the rising star 1st base franchise story he is capable of becoming???

IDK how far this kid could go, but I loved his dad, and The Red Sox could sure use another home grown rising star!

39ab's 6HR's. 10RBI. 1.118 OPS

At this rate, it's reasonable to say that he will definitely hit

78 hrs, 128++ RBI's, with 500+ abs next full season.

It's obviously a lock, so let's start getting excited for 21/22.

He will start coaching JDM & we are back in business!

Imagine the Sox with a AAA pitcher? We will be unstopable !

There’s no “K” in Dalbec. Unless he’s batting...

He loves the kid , but not enough to learn how to spell his name . And he loves his dad , for reasons unknown.

THAT was good!

Would 99 - 2002 be good enough reasons to love his Red Sox dad?

I do think the bulk of the post was meant to be facetious.

But yeah, spelling...

I'm going back to bed!

Now you're telling me that Bobby Dalbec is not Brian Daubach's kid?

What the hell is going on here?

Who the hell are these 2020 Red Sox?

Goodnight Irene.

This distance learning s*** is really getting to me....

I do find myself referring to him as Brian Dalbec a lot.

I've always liked Dalbec, and certainly much more than Chavis. That's part of the reason I included Chavis in just about every trade I suggested on the trade simulator site. (Plus, they had Chavis way over-valued.

He's off to great start, but it's way too early to judge.

Is Dalbec the next Sam horn?

Based on the wind generated by most of their swings, we could be seeing Sam horn part 2.

Dalbec is more capable defensively...

It would be nice if the thread starter had the ability to edit their own thread titles. Or delete them.

Yes it would be nice.

Doesn't help the underlying problem of me thinking he was the son of former Red Sox Brian Michael Daubach (99 - 2002), but yeh.. LOL :0 It would be great to be able to edit the OP.

;)

BUT ... back to the substance behind this sh__-show post.

I like this kid's potential.

So, maybe he won't hit 78 HR's next year, with 120+++ rbi's, but I can't wait to see where this kid's Red Sox career goes!

Even if he is a bastard without Brian Daubach as his dad. ;)

I’m rooting for the guy but he would be on pace to strike out 300 times in a full season.

A lot of good young hitters struggle with breaking balls but name me a good hitter who can’t hit a fastball?

Dalbec can’t hit a low 90s fastball.

Only hope is that his timing is off because he went from facing bad pitching at the alternate site to the Majors

and in time he will make some more contact.

Fielding scares me but he’s a 3rd baseman learning to play first on the fly.

I know one thing NO WAY him and Chavis can be in the lineup next year if they want to have any semblance of a competitive team

If the played everyday they could be pushing 500 k’s between them

We all have made similar mistakes. Things like this don't agree well with my OCD. LOL

It's easy to be excited about Dalbec. I try to temper my excitement after such a small sample, but it's easy to be excited nonetheless. Hopefully, he can cut down on his K rate as he progresses through his learning curve.

He was a more than decent defensive 3Bman, so I don't think defense will be an issue.

He was named the 2018 Defensive Player of the Year in the 2018 Sox farm system.

They used to say “you can shake any tree and good gloves will drop out, but rarely does one ever finds the tree with good bats.”

Dalbec is looking more and more like the next Sam horn!
