I really don’t know how Bloom operates but here we are do we go openers ??? Carlos Martinez is a throw in name he’s had issues with ownership and health we could do better I’m sure .Moon mentioned Matz .Exciting times .

Martinez and Matz would be nice. Two guys who could keep Eovaldi from getting lonely on the IL...

 

Matz is a gamble, but he's made 60 starts the last 2 years, and we are not going to get an ace from anybody- or even a #2.

I would take a chance on Taijuan Walker. He's still young (only 27) and has been a solid pitcher when healthy... but the problem is he's almost never healthy.

Take a flier on Sanchez and Buchholz too. Just have them all come in and compete.

My guess is that they are going to need a few guys to come in throughout the year. IMO, the competition doesn't end on April 1.

True. but April 1 should be somewhat of a priority. It' only 7 weeks away...

The Sox already have Sale and Eovaldi as question marks. In 6 seasons, Taijuan Walker has started more than 5 games 3 times.
